I just found the live track to be hilarious...and I'm a devout Roman Catholic who hasn't missed mass in 11 years.

Something about that sentence doesn't scan. A "devout" Roman Catholic could find nothing at all amusing in this cretinous venture. He also would capitalize "Mass", and if you haven't missed Mass in 11 years, you can't have been paying much attention to either the liturgy or the sermons.

Hehehe....cut through the juvenile crap and you'll see that Opie and Anthony are conservatives. Just this Monday they spoke for about half an hour on the evil of government legislation and government social programs.

You sure they aren't LIBERTARIANS. This would seem right up their alley.

Now excuse me whilst I don my flame proof suit.

I know Loretta Lynn. She's in the Harper Valley PTA.

Jeannie C. Riley sang "Harper Valley PTA," not Loretta Lynn.

"Some things simply aren't done, and getting laid in a church full of worshippers is one of them. It's the height of indecency, selfishness and disrespect for the sensibilities of other people, whether they were caught in the act or not. The whole point of the idiotic contest was for people to know they did it.

"Worth seeing again, in bold. This sums it up, wimpycat"

And again. Very well said WC.

I knew what a mantilla was, but I wasn't sure if there was some other meaning. Mantilla is a Spanish word, BTW.

I think she was mocking you because you referred to yourself as a "Devout Roman Catholic".

It was an attack on the very fiber of civilization in that it proclaimed that NOTHING IS WORTHY OF RESPECT... NOTHING.

Even in the age of Howard Stern, this represents a quantum societal leap into the abyss.

"Almost 99% of the members of Free Republic were raised as a Catholic"

I think that you are make an overly broad generalization. While there is no shortage of Catholics on FR, neither is there of other Christian faiths and some of no confessed faith.

This started out as a story about a prank which I answered with a joke. Everybody went off the deep end because they did not find humor in it. That resulted in my being flamed. Now, ordinarily, flaming I can take. But these were accusations that I attacked the church which I did not do.
So, I responded to these accusations. I still don't understand why everyone was so inflamed. I did not condone what was done. I compared it to what was done by priests. That was the truth. I don't think either abuse by priests or what was done at St. Patrick's should be condoned. I said that earlier. Other than explaining the same facts over and over again, I don't know what else there is to say.

Explain the nice lady's reference...and without asking her because I'll bet the house your mental capabilities can't stretch that far.

This, from a guy who thinks play-by-play radio broadcasts of people having sex in a cathedral are funny.
