Liberals believe that they are more compassionate because they don't take 100% (yet) for taxes.

Since a sizable chunk of the American public believe the same thing, we are doomed as a nation. The culture is already dead so what is left to lose ?

BUMP

Ann Coulter is most valuable to us as an example of how incisive one can be if one is not concerned with being liked or called names.

The Republican Party has gotten to its nadir of "We'll do what the Democrats have suggested, but cheaper" politics by being obsessed with being liked by their opponents and well-reviewed in the leftist media. Conservatives have been gentlemanly, which is normally a great compliment and a virtue, and have followed the old Gentleman's Code of never giving offense intentionally. But when the opponent manufactures reasons to be offended, it's a formula for disaster and must be replaced.

Ann Coulter has recognized these facts, and has the right temperament and style to act on them. She's the spearhead of the movement for common-sense conservatism in America, and may God bless her for it.

"They're like terrorists- anyone who is nice to them is considered a prime target because such people are seen as weak. We may as well pour blood in the water..."

Precisely.

This is my personal philosophy as well, so it's no surprise that I have absolutely zero patience with liberals. I don't even bother "making nice" with 'em, for I know what they'll say before they even say it. They're so vapid; so unbelievably predictable.

I'm ready for some conservatives on the national political scene who don't give a flying f**k what the liberals say / cry / whine / mewl.

Ann needs to build up a little ..... weight work and platters of pot roast and ribeye steaks. Gotta build those biceps up, ifn she's going to arm-rassle Hillary.

Good talk, but I disagree that Conservatives should stop talking about liberal spew. In a sense, she's violating her own advice, because she is addressing an audience of Americans who are in the middle or making their minds up about ideas, and she is talking about liberals and liberal ideas (or what's left of them).

You can't allow yourself to fall into not wanting to talk up ideas, not wanting to debate the other people. You can't walk away from it, or people will get the impression that you don't think you can compete in a contest of ideas, if you only seek fora among the undecided or among fellow conservatives.

Recriminating is a favorite liberal technique, and they get it from Marxism. Soviet Communists used to demonize people as a form of "debate" for the illiterate: they demonized the Mensheviks, the Jewish Socialists, the anarchists, the mass-party Socialists, as Lenin kept dividing and dividing until he got the Communist Party cut down to just his own coterie and fellow-travelers he could dominate.

Stalin did the same thing to "gold bugs", "wreckers", "capitalist roaders", and all the rest of the long litany of groups Solzhenitsyn told us about in The Gulag Archipelago.

That is why Marxist-educated liberals try to do it to us. The one thing we cannot afford is to quit the forum and to resign the fight. We need to send Ann to call on Pacifica and challenge them to debate something on "their" radio show, instead of letting them throw dead cats every day and sneer that Rush isn't "fair" because he doesn't "balance" his show by having Marxists come on and call him names.

In a straight debate before an American audience, I'm willing to bet that Marxist diatribe will fail.

So far from ceasing to talk to them, we need to do what Ann does -- right up in their faces, right in front of everyone. And whip their little asses.

Absolutely. I'm sick of "compassionate conservatism".

I would love to see a third party with the name " Fiery Unapologetic Conservatism Keepers United".

"Ann Coulter is most valuable to us as an example of how incisive one can be if one is not concerned with being liked or called names."

I've always maintained the attitude that I don't care what anyone thinks of me or if they like me or hate me, only that they respect me for my knowledge and abilities.

If half the people don't hate my guts I take a good look at myself to find out what i'm doing wrong.

compassionate conservatism is just another way of saying i'm a socialist and if you work for a living i'm going to take your wages and give it to someone that won't work so they live as good as you do, or did until I came along.

I'm out of here, I have to go catch a plane to Las Vegas!

Imagine being a liberal and only being able to regurgitate what you hear from the mouths of bill clinton and bryant gumbel, instead of actually thinking for yourself.

What a barren life.

If only Ann would gain some weight she would be a TEN

My favorite quote of hers

" George Bush should stop acting like a slack jawed Connecticut WASP and start acting like a TEXAN ( This was during the campaign )
