Jack Grub Man seems aptly named. Grubs crawl around in the ground and become parasites inside of living things causing rot, decay and disease. They eat the flesh.
Insecticde, anyone?

"Tell me how this is not an overt bribe?" On Wednesday, July 24th, I happened to be watching Kudlow and Cramer on CNBC (show starts at 8pm), and in one of the segments they had on a guest by the name of "Brown" (didn't get his first name). I don't remember if he was an analyst or not, but during the conversation between the three of them (about Enron, Citigroup, Rubin, and WorldCom), Cramer, I think it was, brought up Grubman's name. *Immediately* Brown shot back, "I used to work with him (at Citigroup). Grubman should go to jail."
I thought that was such a significant statement that I wrote down the date and where I heard him say it. It will be interesting to see if he gets a subpoena to testify as a witness.

Any relations to the young woman who ran over people at the night club when they told her to move her SUV?

"You got to look at the date with a little looseness. The check is supposed to be registered on the day it's received. But it's not always exact," Isn't this remarkably close to what Bush said about the late form on the Harken sale?

"I used to work with him (at Citigroup). Grubman should go to jail."
Obviously - Grubman knows how to get a "no jail pass" - just pay up to Hillary's Senatorial Committee
He may be evil but he is not stupid.

Gosh, its tough when you write puff pieces on companies your investment banking arm does biz with, ain't it?? Why even bother with a Chinese wall, when these guys work for the underwriting dept, in all honesty??Who do they think they are kidding?
To: LarryLied
Larry thanks for finding this data:
That is a fact. He gives about 8 cents of every dollar he donates to Republicans.
In 1998, Grubman gave $1,000 to D'Amato. In 2000, Grubman gave $5,000 to the New York Republican Federal Campaign Committee.
In the same time period (1998 to June of 2002), Grubman gave $73,000 to Democrats .
I would bet that he has been a life long RAT and supporter of the RATS with most of his political money and votes.

You mean Lizzie Grubman? I was wondering that, too.
And I have one suggestion relating to ol' Jack: SUBPOENA HIM AGAIN! HARDER!!

What struck me was the parallel with Clinton/Enron.
The day after Clinton strong-armed India into giving Enron some enormous contract, Lay cut a $100,000 check to the DNC.
They don't even make the slightest effort to hide the quid pro quo.

Right, Lizzie. Good memory M. BTW, does your name indicate a monster cat? :)

When you see how the "severely punished" Torch gets treated by the Senate, is it any wonder a guy like Grubman thinks he can skate away? All they have to do is say "I cannot recall".
