OK, while we're at it, let's just release the names, addresses, and location of each FBI, Secret Service, and police officer working on the tracking the terrorists.

Heck, let's just hand over the keys to the city to the Muslim radicals. This is just absurb!

Time to go judge shopping.

Time to have your head examined. Consider that your relatives could be held in jail indefinately and the police wouldn´t even have to notify you that they are in jail.

The Judge is doing the right thing but actually should have told the government they have two weeks to bring charges or release them.

Released to whom? The detainees know who they are. If they have counsel, the counsel knows who they are. Who else needs to know?

They are free to publicize their own names. Why don't they?

Kessler: Clinton appointee. Well-deserved reputation as an ideologue. Loves press attention. V. liberal.

How would you know? They can't even see the evidence against them. And you think they can access the press?

Who are "they", BTW? IIRC, Padilla (I don't recall the Muslim name) is the only US citizen captured on US soil.

We don't want Al Qaeda to know who of their people we've got and who we don't. It might tell them how we're on to them and how we aren't. Some Al Qaeda leadership, most, is abroad, and they might not know who is active and who we have under wraps unless we told them.

I would think that would be rather obvious to anyone. The administration has been making this argument and it's quite obviously valid to anyone other than a total lefty, I would have thought. Now, Judge Kessler is a well-established lefite. And not a smart one either. But I wouldn't expect Judge Kessler to show up and here and start posting, either. If she did, people might look askance and wonder if she got lost and showed up at the wrong place.

If you know what I mean.

If their names must be released, can their names be posted on the "Nuremburg Files" website?... With names crossed out as needed?

Kessler ...

No surprise. The moment I read the headline I thought, "there she goes again." (I also vaugely recalled she had been assigned -- correction, assigned herself -- some case involving a attempt to compel the release of info about the detainees. How is it that one of the most over-ruled judges on the federal bench gets the power to assign cases in one of the most important districts?!

Actually, she's new to the bench so she's not most overruled quite yet. But she's well on her way and I dare say on one case I helped her! In a way, she's less harmless than a very smart and ideological leftie like Judge Friedman. She's smart but just, oh I don't even think I'm permitted to explain what I think of her intellect or lack thereof.

How many people are we talking about (those whose names haven't been released)?

I believe this case is specifically related to the 100 or so detainees in New Jersey. This is the result of a lawsuit filed against the Justice Department by the American Civil Liberties Union, Amnesty International USA, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and the Center for National Security Studies (if you can believe that one).

Good grief......this idiot judge has ruled against us on the Civil Rights Commission and something else also (forgot what that was).

Her other recent outrage was an order to seal records of a federal investigation (by the FEC if I recall correctly) into big labor laundering campaign money for the DNC. She was pretty directly covering for The Sink Emperor's boy Terry McAuliffe on that one.

Kessler ruled that the government’s rationale for keeping the names secret was insufficient. She said the government’s argument that terrorists in other nations might map the progress of U.S. investigators by determining who had been captured was illogical.

I reckon that the terrorists know if any of their's is in custody.

Who doesn't know is their familys.

I wonder how many have missing persons reports on them?

Cool, I will personally pay $20 as a bounty for these people. Dead or Alive.

Hmmm... Why? 'Cause the Feds have citizens locked up without telling anyone where they are?

Oh, I forgot, this is a conservative thing, You can keep folks locked up without charging them.

Heck, at first I thought this was happening here in the USA.

Can you say left wing socialist? I knew you could.

She may be on other things, she is right on this one.

It is an outrage for people to be put in jail and kept for months with no charges being filed and no access to lawyers or family.

Judge Kessler .... was employed by the National Labor Relations Board, served as Legislative Assistant to a U.S. Senator and a U.S. Congressman, worked for the New York City Board of Education, and then opened a public interest law firm

Have heard the PSA that says if you go in Public Interest Law you get a break on you student loan, plays here during Rush.

P's me off everytime I hear it.

Might be nice to let the familys know where they are.

They don't have councel either.
