I don't know what the record is. Currently the Steyn ping list stands at 198.

George the First began Desert Storm from Kennebunkport to insult Hussein. Bush could have waited to return to the WhiteHouse (only a few days later) but 'rubbed it in' while playing golf.
As to the press: George W can ask them to stand inside the corral at the ranch. Easier for them to find the material they most often print.

I'll join the list--thanks. Steyn was a regular in the old American Spectator. I discontinued the subscription after George the Gasbag Gilder took over and filled a good periodical with (apparently) drivel resulting from years of staring into the sun, or something.

****But the next new moon is August 8th.****
Yeah, but does Bush have the balls to buck the rat crowd's howls of 'wag the dog wag the dog'? I doubt it.
However ....
If he does I shall cease and desist from all Bush criticism. (provided we kill Sadam)

Both of ya'll are added.
Aric, you may have neen a member, but a while back I had my hard drive die, and with it all of my lists. I tried to reconstruct then the best I could.
I now have them backed up. You were not left off purposely.

I get a kick out of how well Rummey plays his part of the outraged Defense Secretary insisting that somebody is going to jail. Does he or doesn't he Sadam?

I wouldn't call the climate in D.C. today mild.

I heard either on the radio--think it was Bachelor and Alexander--or on Brit Hume's show on FNC-- that GW had promised Congress not to move on Iraq until after the election--the Demoncrats apparently thought that it wouldn't be fair to interrupt the negative flow of anti-Republican rhetoric with news about Iraq just prior to the election in November.
To: linn37
just an odd tidbit but Paul Harvey reported this week that army trucks that were painted woodland greens are now coming out desert tan. I heard this too. He also noted that this happened right before Desert Storm. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
To: Pokey78
Steyn is wrong on this August event.

But what if the worst happens, and the other side has a dirty bomb or worse to set off in an American city?I would rather have it now, than 15 to be named later.

FOFL. I wouldn't bet too much money on President Bush giving those blabbermouths in Congress much advance notice about anything critical. After all, Leahy Lips Sink Ships

That must have been what happened to me.... I'm positive I was on the Steyn list at one time. Would you be kind enough to add me, too ?

I love the visuals you two presented. FOFLOL. In Crawford's sweltering August heat the White Press Corp would feel just like they were in the midst of the action without the travel. LOL .
