Have you heard about the ongoing rapes of women in Sweden by Muslim immigrants? The victims are being told by the Swedish government that they brought it on themselves by dressing provocatively in front of Islamic men! I expect we will be hearing the same kind of thing in the next few years - not necessarily from the government but certainly from the universities and folks at the New York Review of Books.

I just don't get it. Wars have been fought for thousands of years with limitless deaths and suffering over religion and today, people are still slaughtering each other over something that is intangible and to me, totally irrational. What is the hold Islam, for one, has on its followers? I would classify anybody who does such things (suicide missions, self-immolation, beheading, stoning, etc.) as just plain nuts. Since islam ordains that it's followers must either convert non muslims or kill them, all muslims, by definition intend to murderer, since the majority of non muslims have no interest in converting.

Last time I checked, plotting to murder people was a crime. islam is the biggest murder plot since communism, and it's followers should be rounded up and dealt with in a far harsher manner than were the reds of the late '40s.

I was being quite sarcastic, and not directed to you. It just seems, to me, that if freedom of religion arguements regarding Islam, are taken to silly extremes, then we may be forced to put up with crimes being committed in the name of Islam. Prosecution of such crimes could become considered religious persecution by the ultra-liberals with respect to their crush on Islam. If SCOTUS were packed with these types of people, some truly disasterous decisions would be made. Under such circumstances, all the barbarism of Wahabism (sp?) from the Middle East would be permitted here.
