>Isn't it apparent that someone(s) or something(s) has pressured Congress to vote against Traficant? ... Who or what is intimidating Congress, friends? Who or what is making our leaders total wimps on national TV, afraid of their own shadows? Doesn't this tell us something very important about who/what is really in control of this nation--and even more-- who is not (the people)?

Important article. Thanks for posting this.

I predict Traficant will die of a heart attack or come up with cancer within two years.

James Traficant, meet James Forrestal. And this is Jim McDougal. The fellow over there is Jack Ruby.

"Did the IRS take him to court?

The tax evasion charges were dropped from the original indictment. There is another explosive story behind that (that you will never, ever see reported in the mainstream media).

Traficant was in possession of some questions about the income tax that he submitted to the Congressional Research Service. Once the government got wind of the content of those questions they realized that, had the CRS gone ahead and responded to them, it would have blown the lid off the income tax hoax that Traficant's been railing about for years.

The feds were in a jam because the CRS cannot ignore a request coming from a member of Congress. So they dropped the evasion charges to "keep the cat in the bag" and the American people perpetually in the dark.

How can the man not be guilty if a jury considered the evidence and found him to be guilty?

Have you stopped beating your husband?

The post you responded to referred to Traficant's trial in the early / mid-80s.

Given that, would you like to change your story? ;>)

You are right. If we could know who it was that ordered Trafficant destroyed (not that he was a very good man that I hold any brief for)...we would know a very great deal about who actually controls and runs the USA.

And I do not mean just at the Federal level, on big things. They reach down right into the payrolls and employment of surprisingly little and mid-level people, and destroy those whom they think are politically unreliable or who know too much.

>I predict Traficant will die of a heart attack or come up with cancer within two years.  James Traficant, meet James Forrestal. And this is Jim McDougal. The fellow over there is Jack Ruby.

I read an account some time ago of someone who was a prisoner at the same time as McDougal and reported of prisoners seeing a helicopter land, of persons who came to see McDougal and when they left McDougal was dead.

Congressman Traficant is not the first.  Check out Google Advanced Search for keywords:   Congressman George Hansen  and "Diesel therapy

George Hansen is a former twelve-term Republican congressman from Idaho who knows.  Here is an excerpt from WINDS - U.S. Gets Blood on its Beak:

"... The description of Congressman Hansen's ordeal and that of Susan McDougal as they were "ground under the heel of a ruthless justice system run amok", most clearly depicts the methods of those charting the course of the New World Order. They will brook no departure from their purposes nor obstruction to them. They are startlingly reminiscent of the biblical description from the pen of the prophet Daniel when he described such a "ruthless" power:

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it.  Daniel 7:7"   WINDS - U.S. Gets Blood on its Beak:

From another site:  http://www.sierratimes.com/archive/ray/nuggets/nuggets101700.htm [dead link]
"Political prisoners and those who are considered trouble makers are given what prisoners call "diesel therapy". "Diesel therapy" consists of being put on diesel buses or airplanes and being transported from prison to prison for weeks and months at a time. On the surface it sounds benign. What could be the problem with making a prisoner ride in a bus for hours at a time?

Congressman Hansen was one of the first members of Congress to point a finger at the IRS. In the late 70s he wrote a book called "To Harass Our People". He was the first to get a full scale investigation into the crimes of the IRS against the American people. His outrage over what he discovered caused him to write and help pass the "Taxpayers Bill of Rights." Without George Hansen, the IRS would be the American equal to the Gestapo by now.

Congressman Hansen was set up by the federal gov't. for taking on the New World Order, sent to prison and tortured.  The conviction was later vacated, but the judge who heard the case took his time getting Hansen released - FIVE WHOLE MONTHS.  It was during this period of incarceration that Hansen was treated worse than raw meat."   Source

>If we could know who it was that ordered Trafficant destroyed ...

The way you spell his name reminds me that the stock market is crashing and "traffic" can't!  Now we see why all of those trains, and buses were derailing and crashing and going over cliffs.  We are seeing the Black Horse of Rev. 6 ride.  Traffic (the commercial exchange of goods/trade) can't!

traffic

traffic (tràf´îk) noun
1. a. The commercial exchange of goods; trade. b. Illegal or improper commercial activity: drug traffic on city streets.
2. a. The business of moving passengers and cargo through a transportation system. See synonyms at BUSINESS. b. The amount of cargo or number of passengers conveyed.
3. a. The passage of people, vehicles, or messages along routes of transportation or communication. b. Vehicles or pedestrians in transit: heavy traffic on the turnpike; stopped oncoming traffic to let the children cross.
4. Social or verbal exchange; communication: Refused further traffic with the estranged friend.

verb, intransitive
trafficked, trafficking, traffics
To carry on trade or other dealings: trafficked in liquidation merchandise; traffic with gangsters.
[French trafic, from Old French trafique, from Old Italian traffico, from trafficare, to trade, perhaps from Catalan trafegar, to decant, from Vulgar Latin *trânsfaecâre : trâns-, trans- + faex, faec-, dregs. See FECES.]
- traf´ficker noun

"...Traficant's trial in the early / mid-80s."

Tax evasion charges were in the original indictment of the Traficant trial that just ended. Those charges were dropped. So he was tried in the early 80's as well, so what? Did you forget your medication?

Yes, he was tried in the early 80's, for corruption as the local sheriff. Jury nullification got him off, but he had to pay taxes on the $$$ he received, and kept, from some wiseguys in a 'sting' (according to him). No one else in his dept knew of the 'sting', for some reason.....

He was hoping for some jury nullification this time, but the change of venue scotched that.
