What does Hastert lose if Traficant is not expelled?

He looks like a fool for bringing an expulsion vote to the floor that failed.

I just don't get the support for Traficant on this website. He's entertaining, he pokes the boogeymen (IRS, FBI) in the eye, and he votes with Republicans most of the time.

But, when the chips are down, as they were when Clinton was impeached, Traficant supported the crook Clinton.

He did it out of professional courtesy.

Traficante's only hope is that the court overturns his conviction. Unlikely base on how Jimbo basically shot the finger to the judge.

The House would snub the Cmtee if it voted to delay. Doubt that they will do it here.

Interesting to hear those who dragged their feet during X42's impeachment (Lofgren, Berman) now want to rush the proceedings. LaTourette was fair during impeachment and is fair today IMHO.
