Yeah, duct tape in the 1700's? If they want realism, why not emulate all the comfort the 1700's allowed- head lice, body lice, no dentistry, no penicillin, no bathing, life expectancey what, about forty years if you make it out of the cradle? I'm saddened (but not astonished) at the folks who think Elizabethans washed their hair with Prell, flushed their toilets, and said hello to the garbage man. Slavery is certinly an undefendable monstrosity, but life itself was pretty uncomfortable back then.
