Classic deflection technique, Dane. C'mon, you can do better than that.
Not everyone, just a good number of your type.
"Doing the work of the DNC?" 'Pod
Did you even read the article? Turley is not commenting onthe relative merits of the allegations of Harken and Halliburton. He is instead criticizing the involvement of official White House personnel to handle what are personal matters regarding Bush and Cheney, and IMO he makes some valid points. Your opinion may vary, but I guess since I'm trying to discuss the matter, I'm doing the work of the DNC? That's pretty lame.
Deflection? Huh I just pointed a big difference between the Clinton and Bush White House's, and that is now called deflection.
Oh well, you can handwring yourself over demo scandals, that's your right.
Oh you mean the ones who don't jump on every DNC/liberal media scandal as the Gospel.
Hey, whatever floats your boat Fred, and in the case of your hero larry klayman, whatever floats his ego.
Bush supporters have done enough digging to know the charges are bogus, the administration is not on full court press to defend GW and the charges against Clinton were true.
You and Turly would be here, talking about the "scandal" (and if Turley doesn't think it's a SCANDAL, why did he use the word???), raising holy hell because "the administration is stone walling."
You want it both ways.
Point taken, sink, and I appreciate your keeping this matter at the level of debate instead of questioning motives. But I also think that having Fleischer claim that the charges against Cheney are "without merit" is not the proper use of his office. This may seem like small stuff, but the Bush Admin should be careful to avoid the tar pit that snared both Nixon and Clinton - that a cover-up is more dangerous than the actual offense, if any. I hope they stay aboveboard on this matter.
I have been quite supportive of Bush, ask just about any poster here. But I do not equate support to blindly accepting what the adminstration does, Deb. Do you?
Perhaps to show other freepers just how lame your attempts to connect me to the DNC are, Howlin. I would think you were better than that.
Barging? Well, why don't you invite who you want to post on your threads?
Did it ever occur to you that there are those of us who HAVE done our homework on Halliburton and don't need to be told, yet again, that something might be wrong by somebody who hasn't kept up with what's going on?
This forum is KNEE DEEP in article about it; perhaps you should scroll through them and see how the "valued Freepers" on this forum have debunked this POLITICALLY MOTIVATED charges.
This article is nothing more than piling on by Turley.
Forgive me O Wise One for questioning your incisive commentary on dirtboy as "Doing the job of the DNC" or whatever the hell it was you posted. My backside sure has been spanked. < /sarcasm>. 'Pod
I don't think it is a proper use of the official White House spokesman to deal with matters that happened while both Bush and Cheney were in the private sector. Your opinion may vary.
You and Turly would be here, talking about the "scandal" (and if Turley doesn't think it's a SCANDAL, why did he use the word???), raising holy hell because "the administration is stone walling."
Uh, Howlin, Turley never used that phrase in the article.
Why are you insinuating that everybody else here does then?
