Then, President Bush could sign the bill and activate the immediate departure of about 200,000 rats from federal employment. That would be a loud and clear signal to those remaining to behave or you will be out of a job!

Nice sentiment, but...not a chance.

Bush has had plenty of chances to stick it to the Demo-maggots...but for some reason he keeps shying away from it.

United Auto Workers Union.

That'd be the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America.

Just tell us how we can get rid of the IRS and the Sixteenth Amendment some other way

I hope after all these years you've figured out that your "fairtax" does NOT repeal the 16th amendment.

"Then when they are sworn in Jan 2003, both houses need to pass a bill that requires every POS professional government employee from GS to sign a letter of resignation that can be acted on during the 4 years of any new president. Then, make it effective for GW's last 2 years."

That sounds like the system in Mexico and that country is a mess.

When a new president takes over in Mexico all fed employees are out of a job and every department has to be re staffed. Granted, most are back on the job shortly depending on who is the new head of a department.

I had an application in for renual of my commercial air cargo permit when a presidental election occured and the signed renewal sat on a desk for just over a year before it was sent to me because no one new anything because of the total purging and rehiring, it creates a nightmare.

I could see all department heads being dismissed on a change of Presidency as long as replacements didn't have to go through a confirmation process. If all candidates were aware of it they could have a complete new rouster of department heads ready to assume their jobs on innaguration day.

This article points out yet another reason why it is not the level of taxation, so much as the IRS, that is causing the wealthiest Americans to flee to much more privacy oriented jurisdictions, which means that those who remain will have to pay even higher taxes.  The level of taxation will certainly become a reason for leaving, If the IRS continues to drive the wealthy out of the country.

Even the Hollywood crowd, who loves publicity, try to keep their financial affairs private, even though the security of their finances probably doesn't depend privacy.  On the other hand, most US investors put several lucrative deals at risk, every time they file a tax return.

Reporting your finances to the IRS and expecting privacy, is like pouring water into a sieve and expecting it not to leak.

This is why the income tax, in any form, must be abolished.  Even the flat income tax would still require the IRS to look into the finances of all the taxpayers.  The problem is the IRS.  Any replacement for the current tax code, that leaves the IRS and all of the records that it has collected intact, will do nothing to solve the real problem.  No form of taxation on income will eliminate the real threat - the IRS.

In fact, the only tax reform proposal that is currently on the table, in the form of proposed legislation, that will eliminate the IRS and destroy all of the private financial records that they have collected (other than those currently being used in specific criminal investigations) is the National Retail Sales Tax (NRST).

Anything less is just a placebo, that will leave the IRS free to wreak havoc on our economy and our people.

Most real work if any is done by those below GS7 levels. My system would route out the professional rats who use their federal positions to drive the rat agendas from administration to administration like in the State Department, EPA, interior, FDA just to name a few.

I hear all of the stories how this would lead to incompetence. Well, we see too much imcompetence and agenda pushing with the old system. Time to junk it.

Call him wacky, but Traficant has said we need to abolish the IRS and institute a national sales tax.

Ahhh -- LurkeyLiarLooneyLou! I was wondering how long it would take you to slither out from under your rock.

Please go back under it, and quit pestering those of us who are serious about fixing what ails this country.

Either lead, follow, or get out of the way!

You know, LurkeyLooneyLiarLou, we have never claimed that either of the NRST bills (H.R. 2525 & H.R. 2717) would repeal the 16th. Both recommend that the 16th be repealed, but Constitutional Amendments require separate legislation. Rep. Sam Johnson has introduced H.J. RES 66 to do just that, and you know it.

See my previous post to you: Slither back under your rock, and please stay there.

Remember: " 'tis better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

I didn't catch his name on your list of supporters for either plan, Hr2525 or the Tauzin / Traficant bill...maybe you're trying to convince (me) the wrong person.

If you want a sales tax gross payment tax at least have the balls to portray it for what it is, or in your case isn't....and the fact I point out your fraud and deceit is the reason you'd like me to go away.

Is there some reason you can't be honest about it?....You're having a hard enough time as it is. Maybe you fear it can't stand on it's own merits.

Once you find out someone is lying, you have to wonder what else they're lying about.

Let me ask you a question, LurkeyLiarLooneyLou: Just how many FReepers have you convinced that the NRST is a lie?

Those of us who have been supporting the NRST on these threads for the past four years have convinced many, many people that the NRST is not a lie and is the right thing to do for America.

And, ultimately, we will prevail.

All you have done is make snide comments and fabricate lies about the NRST.

Slither back under your rock.

Just more proof of why we need to elect enough senators to take control of the Senate and retain control of the house.

Why? The IRS falls under the Presidents jurisdiction. The IRS has always been rabid dogs who know no laws. I expect a lot more venom from the IRS because of the nations deficit.

"We knew the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-collection arsenal included, among other things, the legal right to audit, sue and penalize tax cheats."---from original post

Please show me where in the IRS tax code does it state that they have a legal right to audit, sue and penalize tax cheats. Please show me where in the code does it say tax cheats.

There is no regulation that allows anyone in the IRS to do anything to anyone who does not pay "INCOME TAXES".

"if it saves one child it will be worth it"

All you have done is make snide comments and fabricate lies about the NRST.

Snide deserving remarks, and not one of you sales tax "gross payment" tax shills making the accusation of lies can produce one example....

I don't have to make anything up. Everything I've posted about your scam has been facts you are ignorant of or wish didn't exist.

Is it my fault you can't get more than 7 cosponsors on one and 9 on the other?...

Is it my fault you attract losers like Traficant and Condit?

Is it my fault when the "fairtax" money dried up, so did your paid support?

Is it my fault your support of ONE paid "economist" is a tax happy NWO enviro-wacko?
