The NOW crowd is just a bunch of lesbos looking for more chicken. The more hetero women they can turn, the better the pickings will be for them. They don't give a rat's ass about womens' issues, or values, for that matter.

Wow! A feminist convention? If they all showed up, they'd have to have it in a minivan; the Festiva just wouldn't be big enough.

As a reasonably secure hetero male, I dislike the idea of branding all feminists as " dykes, lesbos ", etc., etc.
In the "good ol' days" there was a lot of genuine mis-treatment of women, and organizations such as NOW did help put a stop to most of it.
I won't dispute the fact there are some extremely extreme feminists...just as there are some "breathtaking" Freepers;but lumping the good, the bad, and the ugly in one pot is kinda lame-to say the least !

I don't know about that. Feminists have launched a fullscale war on fathers, via abortion and the family courts, and so I have little sympathy for anyone who self-identifies as a "feminist". I respect the polite tone of your post, but objecting to a negative view of feminists, defined as those who willfully engage in demonizing men in general and fathers in specific, is like asking a black person to not condemn all KKK members, or Jews to not condemn all Nazis.

Collectivist demonizing. The author strikes me as a very fascist sort worse than the most extreme feminist, wanting to decree what is "proper" right down to personal hygiene.
Incredibly narrow minded article, posturing athoritariansm on the most vacuous of terms.

I am a feminist and pro-life and pro-family and pro-fatherhood.
I choose what both what I call myself and what I believe in. No one else does.

Having strong opinions and expressing them is not a step toward tyranny. It's a sign of a society open to the free exchange of ideas.

AAAAAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
Not feministically-tangled armpit hairs!!!

LOL. Makes for a pretty nasty mental image, no?

Well maybe Ms Di Costa and her followers should align themselves with the uber
anti-feminist, lesbain and author Camille Paglia who in addition to her anti-feminist rants (some of them valid criticism) also proudly proclaims:
"My championing of pornographers, prostitutes and drag queens is also well known."

Women are wonderfully blessed with an aesthetic quality that makes us, typically, more attractive than the male species. No so - it's all a matter of cultural inclination. I'm sure there are cultures where beer bellies, bald heads, furry backs, and, er, "crack," are considered highly aesthetic attributes. Compete with those, ladies!

If you really want to get the chuckles, log on to NOW's bulletin board at their website, also known as NOW Village. There, you are immediately drawn to some of the member ID names that these commie-chicks use. Two that caught my eye were BallBuster, and, my favorite, IDon'tShaveMyPitsorLegs! This is pure bullsh*t. I was personally responsible for getting the NOW Message Boards shut-down almost a year ago.
I wonder why these people would lie???
To: Johnny Shear
That only means that either there is another NOW-affiliated bulletin board of which you are unaware, or that the info is a year+ old.
To: Billthedrill
Good luck finding that culture, son.
To: Lorianne
Paglia's nuts. Hardly my fault !!!

Incredibly narrow minded article, posturing authoritariansm on the most vacuous of terms. Quite possibly. But entertaingly so.

I am not a feminist, and pro-life, and pro-family, and pro-fatherhood. So fantastic, were both self-defined.
