I guess then they will have to introduce the characters who have Gonorrhea, Syphilis, chlamydia, herpes, crabs, genital warts, Hepatitis B, not to mention non STD's like cancer, tuberculosis, alzheimer's, arthritis, heart disease, epilepsy, (I'd like to see them put a muppet through a grand mal seizure to illustrate the character's medical problem...)... oh and let's not forget the mental disorders - schizophrenia, manic depression, etc etc... BOY we won't have any room for the humans on the show any more!

UNreal. I haven't liked Sesame Street since *I* was a kid and they actually taught useful stuff like phonics and rudimentary preschool math.

I remember some controversy when I was in college that they were going to announce that one of the muppets was gay. I don't think it ever happened.
From what I remember, it was Bert - no wonder he's appearing so often with Osama lately.

That's it. I'm pi**ed now. I vow to become rich, buy the rights to Sesame Street, and introduce a Republican muppet! ,,, I was under the impression Disney bought the Sesame Street rights some years back. Could be worth checking out. Whatever, this way of educating kids on AIDS has altered the programme's intent markedly as far as I'm concerned. It's enough to scare me out of my trash can.
