Just to speculate for a moment.

If the Phillips/Tosco Refinery accident were related to the Stage 2 Emergency Power Curtailment; could one say that Davis has now taken the ultimate stand in attacking the drivers of California.

Conversely, can we say that depending on the amount of damage at the Refinery, there could a dramatic reduction in the supply of gasoline in California during the peak driving season. And if we further believe in supply and demand (I know Davis doesn't) would that mean that gasoline prices should likely skyrocket soon in California. If that happens what is the likely result regarding Davis chances of re-election.

Inguiring minds want to know!

Davis might just have become total toast today without knowing it.
