Another of the Tuskeegee Airmen, Col Faite Mack died here in Grand Rapids a couple months ago.
I know his son Faite Mack Jr., PhD, who teaches at a local State University.
Col. Mack raised a fine decent son who never did the "whine," but instead worked to get where he is.
Like father like son.

As commander of the 332nd Fighter Group, Davis and his pilots escorted bombers on 200 air combat missions over Europe during World War II.Flew cover for my Uncle. He said 332nd were the best, they flew into the target with with you and escorted you home. Most other groups would take off once the bombers were over the target.
