It's too bad some of the rain (water) can't be sent to this area (Colorado and Arizona) to fight the fires.

Just a thought.

Instead of waiting for checks to be mailed and clear or like me, I need to wait till Monday to get a Money order, why don't you open a Paypal account?

It's free to open a personal account and to receive money from other peoples checking accounts.

The money is deposited directly to your checking account.

Only bad thing with Paypal, personal free accounts can't accept Credit Card payments.

I know you are proud, but please consider doing this.

We can get help to you a lot quicker.

Where does she live? My brother is smack in the middle of the flood zone. He lives in Bandera. His house is okay right now, but they are stuck. They've lost their phone service, and are close to losing electricity.

My sister-in-law's family has been evacuated out of their houses in Castroville, Texas. I don't know the situation of their houses, yet.

OMG! I saw her house on TV tonight. It looked like a houseboat just floating down the street! This is so horrible.

Hey wild woman, great to hear from you. It is really wonderful to hear your story first hand. I can't even imagine what you went through and please know that I am very sorry. But you got it right, you see others and you think, wow I am not that bad off. That is a great attitute. Your first paragraph in your post to me I believe you are getting me mixed up with someone else. I think it is COB1. I met you at the Govenors mansion with Bandera. I had my 13yr old son with me and he had a sign that said HONK FOR BUSH. He was really getting into it. In any case I remember you because you were a HOOT! Don't loose that, you will overcome this and knowing you, you are going to help everyone else overcome it to before yourself. Keep in touch. My gift card will be in the mail tomarrow and hope it helps. You and all the others will be in our prayers.

By the way I am in san antonio and we have had no raid since 2pm and then the sun came out about 3pm. yippppeeee

There is one thing I REALLY, REALLY want - MY KAYAK BACK! So, send my yours! LOL!

I was so longing forward to a kayaking trio as soon as the river clamed down. Would have been the first time I would have had it in the water without having to get out and haul it over low spots! I have told ally my neighbors that I they see a lime green kayak somewhere IT"S MINE and I wanit it back!

I wasn't really worried about the car. Had called my insurance and cancelled coverage on the truck and filed a claim on the car if the damage was more than my deductible. I took it to a friend of mine who sells cars and had a detailer to see if they could vacuum it out and so forth. They looked under the seats and said because the water covered all the electrical stuff that controls the top, windows and seat I needed to call the adjustro. Chrysler dealersship said the same thing when I talked to them.

The smell is absolutely horrendous - as is my whole neighborhood. I can't imagine have to live with that smell and already told the adjuster that if hthey couldn't guarantee me that they could get the smell out, I wanted a new car even if that one was running perfectly and had no serious damage. I ain't riding around in a river smellin' car! UCK!
There are some things I just won't do and that's one of 'em!

God Bless You, you are an inspiration to me.

I have lost before and was always so self centered about it. "I lost- blah blah blah" (whine, cry). I never once stopped to think about the others who lost so much more than me. I will never be able to look at things the same self centered way again.

Your faith and courage are awesome. Prayers to you and your pets. I hope they all show up safe.

Blessings, trussell

My sister-in-law's family has been evacuated out of their houses in Castroville, Texas. I don't know the situation of their houses, yet.Yes just saw this about 15 minutes ago. The Medina Dam is not sturdy enough at this point and they feel that it will soon break and the waters will run downstream. The next closest town is Castroville and they are urging all to evacuate in anticipation of this.
