Hi everyone... I have been skimming through the posts from today. I was gone almost all day, there are some great posts by "All" of you!

I had thought about maybe the person who took her had a school connection. I understand that the last day of School was on June 4th?, Teachers or school personel normally take off for the summer... I thought maybe someone at school (a older person... but no specific school job title, like a coach..etc.) may have took her. I know that Utah as alot isolated cabins and maybe someone from the school took her. My point is are all the teachers & personel account for at school? When I was in school many of my teachers would travel during school break, they would travel to other countries... Let's say you have a teacher that does this every year, no one would think twice about this person being gone over the summer as it was normal for the teacher to do that, but is it possible that this teacher (or school employee) said he was going on vacation, but actually kidnapped Liz and took her up to a cabin in the mountains? (just a theory to throw out there)

This is very interesting that the kidnapper took something from the house besides Liz... It makes me wonder if maybe he grabbed a framed family photo (The family takes alot pictures and I bet they are all over the house) If a picture is missing from the home this would help explain to some degree why the family feels so strongly she is alive. Did he take for his own selfish reasons or did take it so that she could have a memento to hold on to because he truly cares for her and he really is holding her and taking care of her in his own way, because he has a fascination with her?

That is a possiblity especially since none of us know really what the cops know at this point. What I wonder is if they have loads of info on who did this but are waiting for the right time to get him?

They just said on LKL, that the room the 2 girls were in on that night, was Elizabeths room... Ed Smart said they went in her room the other night around 1am to think and LK asked if anyone is still sleeping in her room or if MK was slepping in it and the father said "no".

Since this guy wasn't put away for obstruction of justice (at least wasn't said so in the local news) makes me wonder if Sherlock's right in saying the cops let this guy slip on accident and didn't fess up to it.

I don't think they know who took their daughter either.

They may not know for sure, but they may have some pretty strong suspicions.

I am now watching LKL and saw the part referred to about does MK know the perp. I didn't think I would believe she did but seeing this part of the LKL show I do believe MK knew who it was. I believe two men carried this out, Ricci was one but I believe the other one went into the house, 5'8" (slightly shorter than Ricci), clean shaven, dark hair, athletic, wearing a white baseball cap, soft spoken, maybe another person that has worked on the house in the past.

Indeed..there's lots more to this case that hasn't come out..just the media's perspective.

Pretty good theory. And wasn't there some report earlier about a "school relation" function the family (or some of the family) had attended the evening before the alleged abduction?

He was pulled in on a parole violation, they said the other night they can hold him up to 90 days without offically being up charges on his parole violation(s) (His parole violation, one that I know of was for drinking and another might be that he was to hang around other convicts) This might be what the "other" charges will be.

The more could be obstruction or charges dealing with false statements to a law enforcement officer.

I have a problem with the mechanic not being able to give a more exact mileage.

The mechanic claimed and showed Banfield his records for other cars, indicating he kept good records. Those for Ricci were taken by the police making it necessary for him to guess. I thought the mechanic was very credible.

If the police knew who kidnapped Elizabeth, they would have arrested him by now.

Not necessarily. Not if there was any possibility she consented. Or not if they believed there was any possibility she might be harmed if they made a move.

I don't have a clue what the other charges against Ricci might be. However, I do believe the parole board won't be suckered into letting him out of prison anytime soon, after the charges are filed...
