What great words.

Let's pray for the safety of America on this day....that the LAX shooting was just a maniac terrorist wannabe.

"And I appreciate Senator Jay Rockefeller coming, as well."

As far as I'm concerned, Senator Jay Rockefeller can go straight to hell but that's just my humble opinion.

America has always depended on the courage and character of our people in the military. We're honored today by the presence of some of West Virginia's most distinguished citizens -- veterans of American Armed Forces. (Applause.) These men and women served in different places, at different times, but all were ready when they're country needed them, ready to sacrifice, to fight, and if necessary, to die for the sake of others.

That says it for me.

To send an email to a soldier.

Great speech.

Don't let that nut in LA get you down. This is a day to remember those who built and fought for this country. And they had to overcome with a lot worse, with less.

And no authority of government can ever prevent an American from pledging allegiance to this one nation under God.

Thanks for posting this, rw.

"Under God" was said with emphasis by all! Even C-Span showed this terrific speech.

Quite agree. Rockefeller is a slime. I also was sorry to see our greasy governor, Bob Wise, there to try to grab a little reflected glory from President Bush.

Yeah, Mr. President! Under GOD, under the ALMIGHTY, that's where our strength and victory resides. Good words.

We believe in the dignity and rights of every person. We believe in equal justice, limited government, and in the rule of law. We believe in personal responsibility, and tolerance toward others.

"Under God" was said with emphasis by all! Even C-Span showed this terrific speech.

Yes, they said the Pledge of Allegiance there, and when the crowd got to the "under God" part, everyone shouted it! The Jim Lehrer Newshour on PBS showed that clip.

Yet, on NBC Nightly News, they showed the President and people saying the pledge, but cut the video clip short before the people got to the "under God" phrase! Can you believe it? Well, of course, that's NBC.

On ABC's World News Tonight they didn't even have any of the President and crowd saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Remember, more Americans get their news from ABC News than from any other source (well, according to ABC's propaganda). But if you'd watched either NBC or ABC you'd never have seen or heard the crowd shout "under God!" and thus would have been no more the wiser.

It is fascinating to watch how the networks control and manage the news that's filtered and then fed to Americans. The networks have raised propaganda to an art form that Josef Goebbels couldn't even have dreamed of in his most psychotic nightmare.

They are all cut from the same cloth. No surprise there.
