The worldwide drug trade is probably the 2nd or 3rd largest industry on the planet. Child porn, while a very serious problem, doesn't even remotely compare.

Are you saying that child porn involving babies is less of a problem that JoeShmuckatelli smoking a joint?

I lived and worked in Hollyweird for 14 years. A buddy of mine did an astonishing job researching and writing a script on kiddie porn and snuff movies in the early 90s. It was shocking. We shopped the script around....and we got calls threatening our lives. One movie mogul candidly said to us...."this script hits too close to home for many Hollywood actors, media and execs. What do you think they do with all their money?? Since then, I stumbled upon quite a few pedophiles amongst these very people. One of them is a HUGE box office star. Sickening isn't it??????

Sickening but not surprising. Moral of the story: there are a lot of very sick people out there. And they are not all in institutions.

And still you remain. Now, kindly b*gger off to libertarian-land.

Thanks for the post. They'd feel more at-home at DU.

As they say in Follywood: acting on an assumption is the father of all f/u's.

I think you're too late with the suggestion. "Subhuman swine" is already on their menus and was being promoted as another 'boiled or beaten to death' taste sensation, during the 'World Cup'.

Arrests were made in Germany - where 31 suspects were apprehended - Belgium, Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden, Europol said.

British police said the ring was set up about two years ago and also had members in the United States, Canada, Denmark, Romania and Switzerland.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic in the face of news about this heinous crime ring, but I could not help noticing that the police forces in all these countries quietly, professionally worked together to make the bust.

There were no leaks to the media beforehand, and no corrupt police official tipped off the criminals.

To me, this indicates that hardworking law enforcement officers in all the countries share a common ethos.

A big THANK YOU to all of them.

Amen, and amen to that.

An amazing feat considering all of the countries involved. Close to achieving the impossible if you furthur complicate the situation with difficulties such as those encountered in the Dutroux case.

A big THANK YOU to all of them.

They deserve medals for their courage.

Referencing your comment #18 here another object lesson for atheists.

One suspect in the United States, an air force officer, has committed suicide while in custody, police said, without releasing his name.
