BTW: This is linked to on the DrudgeReport; therefore, you'll get a lot of leftist posts on this thread. Also isn't it amazing how these Corporate SCAMS happened under the Clinton ERA and under Bush we are finding out about them because the SEC is finally catching these crooks? It's like the word in corporate america is come clean now before the SEC and Bush prosecute you like they did Anderson. But somehow the twisted logic of the left is this is the fault of the current President. I guess it's his fault if you wanted him to allow the scandal to continue unnoticed.

You mean there is no "Economic Command and Control Center" in the White House basement?

I guess I'm missing something here: Bubba, the author of the Telegraph piece, and others deride Mr. Bush as a "nitwit" or as "stupid." I'm hard-pressed to see why. Mr. Bush has an MBA degree, ran a couple businesses (earning a reputation for honesty and integrity in a cut-throat business), was governor of a large, diverse state, and now is president. To become president he managed to beat the incumbent vice-president in a time of peace and prosperity. One would think that to accumulate this sort of resume you'd have to be at least average smart.

Now then: could Bubba, or others, please explain how it is that Mr. Bush is a nitwit? And please, no pointing to his speech patterns, as there are plenty of intelligent people who are less than graceful public speakers.

As a bonus question, Bubba, please explain to us how a President Gore would have prevented the recession (which began, according to some, in the Fall of 2000). I'd like specifics: what would a President Gore actually have DONE?

It's like this: either one resorts to name-calling, or one lays out a cogent case as to why one is right. What I've heard from the left so far (including Molly Ivins and Maureen Dowd) is a lot of name-calling, and really not that much of a case.

So set the record straight, Bubba: why is President Bush a nitwit?

Silly me, what was I thinking. There must be.

After all, we all remember the Golden Clinton Years, when the reason we all had prosperity was namely because Clinton himself "focused like a laser" on the economy!

Right? ;)

He could have squealed a girlyboy squeal and called for a stuntman stand-in. Meanwhile, the bad guys could have re-arranged his nose to someplace on his left ear.

I agree with this guy 100% - calling Bush a nitwit is too kind.

Go back to your hole. Bush is the greatest president this country has ever had.

Look, Bush has sent the economy into the dumper... if it wasn't for his War on Terrorism, his poll ratings would be in the teens!

Obviously you and the rest of the SoreLosermans are just beside yourselves that Bush has the highest poll ratings of any U.S. President since polls have been taken.
And has maintained high numbers longer than any as well.

In spite of your Dumbocrat buddies throwing everything in their arsenal at him...such as your phoney accusation above.

Its clear, this "War on Terrorism" is a fraud.

I guess you were asleep on 9/11? Read the Al Queda Training Manual, go get a history book about 9/11/2001, wake up, then shut up. It takes alot more than a "rag-tag band of criminals" to murder that many people in cold blood.

As someone who lost a classmate in that tragedy, I'm offended that you troll about casually insulting the memory of those who died. It was terrorism, and thank God we have a President who will fight it, unlike Clinton who would only support a single cause, protecting his personal interests, at the expense of all humanity.

I'm always amazed when people accuse George W. Bush of a lack of intelligence. George Bush went to Yale. I'm a pretty bright woman, but I couldn't get into Yale and get through its rigorous courses. George Bush went to Harvard and got an MBA. I didn't go to Harvard, either, and I don't think I could earn an MBA there or anywhere else. George Bush drove fighter aircraft. I couldn't fly a fighter to save my life, but I know it's not a job for a fool. George Bush ran one of the largest, toughest states in the Union, a state with an economy larger than that of most Western European nations. Again, I couldn't do that, no matter how many advisors I had. I suspect strongly that this limey leftist couldn't, either.

So why do they insult him? Two reasons, I'd venture. First, in their view, anybody who is conservative must necessarily be stupid or dishonest or both, because all decent and intelligent people are leftists. Second, anybody who has a Texas accent must necessarily be stupid, because everyone knows that Southerners are ignorant, uncultured, unread, unwashed cowboys. Of course, this goes for most Americans, too.

Besides, it's so much fun insulting the Americans. It gives the wretched, downtrodden French and British a reminder of the superiority they've long since had to give up.

Bubba, before you slither back to DU to give them your "intel" report on this site, at least get your facts straight. 9/11 happened because of the many terrorist attacks on this country under your hero's watch, such as the 93 WTC bombing, 2 embassy bombings, USS Cole and a couple more. All of these apparantly could have been handled by local police organizations. Why didn't X42 take care of it then? As for Enron and WorldCom, you better check out when the accounting irregularities started. But then, you haven't answered other posts asking exactly what Al Bore would have done? I too anxiously await your insight.

Here's my reply to Brucie-Boy sent today after first becoming aware of what he's written and then his defense:

F*** you! How's that for an invective?

Generally we like the Aussies, because they're not pansies, but you give them a bad name. We don't sit around all day rubbing our hands about your president; we're too busy trying to create more wealth for you to consume off of our backs.

I think the real problem with you is that you're a Socialist and your ideas have been proven wrong again and again, but then empirical evidence doesn't matter to those baptized into a religion of feelings rather than results. You Socialists are far worse than red-necks. At least red-necks pull their own weight. (Gee, I wonder if the whole continent of Australia wouldn't be considered red-neck country). I'd watch who you pick a fight with Brucie-boy.

Love and kisses, Aussie-b****,

"Gee, I wonder..."

Ever heard of 'affirmative action'? In this case, for rich white alumni.

What's your problem with that? I'll bet you love political selection processes at universities, as long as they're driven by advanced European thinking and Marxist class-analysis. Confess.

I realize you only came to troll, but a 36 year-old ought to have developed more mature hobbies.

Then again, perhaps you are simply an anthrophobic youth, stewing in your self-hating juices.

In any event, good day and farewell! ;^)
