Our pledge to respect the basic human dignity of every Californian would be impossible without the dynamic and determined effort of our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
Oh really?

Where you were Mr. Davis when they toasted the Pledge? Where were your strong words about Sept 11, about American tradition, where was your pride in your state then?

Should be Where Were you...somebody set me up the bomb :)

..reminded us of the price of intolerance ... If Gray could put a price on intolerance he'd encourage it and then tax it.

Our pledge to respect the basic human dignity of every Californian would be impossible without the dynamic and determined effort of our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. How about the basic human dignity of the children molested by these degenerates?
I guess they don't count in the peoples republic of kalifornia

You left out the second page, which was an invoice.

The tragedy of September 11 has reminded us of the price of intolerance and the true blessings of freedom. The victims and heroes of America's tragedy were brothers and sisters of every race, creed, religion and sexual orientation. They embodied the American ideals: liberty, humanity, unity and diversity. Gay Pride events are a celebration of those American ideals
So now we're linking HOMOSEXUAL "Pride" with the attack on Sept 11th? I'm not quite sure what Grey-out is saying here. Were we attacked because we didn't value homosexuality enough as a nation? The only thing more puzzeling than why these liberals feel the way they do, is why so many people are taken in by this garbage.

Such solumn (sp?) words - then on to the parade where we can see the forces that fight against intolerance, discrimination and bigotry dancing in thongs, riding a 10 foot long penis, dressing up as nuns, in drag or half naked, rubbing up against each other, simulating the gay sex act, and other colorful and entertaining attire and actions!

Well, if anyone in California has the big bucks for Davis's bribes, it's the fairies. I wonder how this kind of statement cost them? I wonder how much Davis would charge them for "changing tems," if you know what I mean. No, I guess there are people that are too strange and perverted, even for fairies.

Funny, when I think of human dignity, I don't picture two people of the same sex going down on each other, or some sex-change freak.
And, I am so SICK of hearing that word "diversity."

I know when I saw the first tower come down and I knew many people had just died I thought:
"If only we treated gays better this would not have happened." /sarcasm off

Gods gonna do some house cleaning. He destroyed Sodom and Gamorrah before. He'll do it again.
He sent plagues upon them, but they're ignoring the warning.
God will not be mocked. He'll get them.

Gay Davis You may not be that far off. Davis was a good friend of Condit. We all know about Condits lifestyles. Birds of a feather flock together.
To: concerned about politics
Flock together should be changed to something similar but more descriptive....

first the italics, I hope.
A connection between gays and 9/11? How about "we were rear-ended by Islamists on 9/11?"

On another thread....

Just for your information. Two major sponsors of this parade include Budweiser and Borders Books. We should not be giving them any of our money. To do so is to support this vile display.

I like gays. You see, the more gay guys there are, the more women are left for non-gays such as myself. It's simple logic, supply and demand.
(Yes, there are lesbians, but there are about half as many as gays, so straight men still win in balance).
Accordingly, I don't understand why homosexuals are so offensive to so many guys. They are simply a way of reducing competition, and the typical straight male - including me - needs all the competition reduction he can get!
That all being said, Gray Davis' statement is cliche-ridden, pretentious nonsense. September 11th taught us that, sadly, mixing cultures isn't just invigourating (as with me and the Venezuelan girl I've fallen for) - it can be dangerous, as with September 11th.
Rather a bad moment for tolerence, no?
Isn't it interesting that the "American Ideals" now include both unity and diversity? When I think of diversity nowadays, I think of a women's studies class and its stale prose and mindless hatred of white males. Reminds me of gay bashing, which - ironically enough - is roundly condemned in womens' studies classes.
