If not kill, then lock up forever and don't allow him to reproduce or interact with any offspring he might already have! This stuff is what serial killers do too! AUGH! Makes me sick like the cougar incident earlier. I'm going to go home and hug my cats and dog!

the 7- to 8-week-old dog was microwaved for 10-12 seconds, then stabbed in the side and dropped to the floor

What a freakin' coward. I'd like to see him try that on a Rotty that's fully able to defend itself. What a POS.

I'm sitting here with my little dog helping me FReep, as usual. So hard to believe that someone could be that evil, to hurt a little one like that.

For openers I would get my Black and Decker Drill and perform some dentistry ala Dr. Christian Szell (Marathon Man)

A 41-year-old Snellville man has been arrested

I noticed that this liberal journalist did not make extravagant mention that this twisted perp is white, so I'll go out on a limb here and intimate the unsaid, nasty question that naturally limns gradually your minds, which is...

I lost my 14 1/2 year old dachshund on Sunday. I miss him, and I feel not only grief , but guilt, as I can remember only too clearly every time over the last few months when I'd get impatient with him or annoyed with him. And I can remember the look in his beautiful sad eyes every time that happened. Here I am mentally kicking myself over thoughtlessness and impatience, and this POS deliberately does something so much more depraved!???!!

Two bets : One, this POS believes "a dog is property, so you have a right to do whatever you want to them and the law shouldn't say anything about it".

Two, this will inspire other POS/copycats.

This man is evil. Just totally, out-of-control evil. No punishment would work though because anyone who could do anything this awful, is mentally two fries short of a happy meal.

He is not helpable and should be removed from the human race (I know - debatable that he's human) at once. We seem to have quite a few of these type of folks roaming around amoungst us. Pretty *BLANK*ing scary, huh?

Not necessarily. Sinkspur posted an article here in February 2000 about a puppy who'd been badly mistreated and mutilated in his home town. The puppy survived. Apparently Sinkspur works with the humane society or animal rescue organization that was helping little Loco, and who organized a defense fund to find the POS in that case, so he often saw the dog when he was being treated and rehabilitated. He said that when people go to see Loco, "That little baby's tail still wags", and he's happy to give and get attention from them. Dogs have long memories for those who hurt them, but they seem to sense when people aren't sickos, and who just want to pet and play with them. So the puppy will be traumatized if force to be around the POS,but if the vet and humane society officers play with him and comfort him,he'll may retain a trusting nature.

True, although rescued dogs that have been physically and/or tormented take a LONG time to recover. I've seen plenty of rescused Dobes that would just shake with fear upon seeing a human. Later, after years of having decent owners, they would recover somewhat. Very, very sad and cruel.

With any luck, this event , though extreme , was only a one time occurence . Though perhaps not. The phrasing of the article:Police reports said Stephens was at the woman's home>.. suggests the POS may have been living with her, even though he was charged with burglary. Surely if he was a complete stranger who'd broken in, the article would have stated so clearly. If he was living with her, who knows what else he's done to the poor little guy? But if this is a one time thing, perhaps the pup will make a full emotional recovery .

I adopted an abused and neglected 5 year old dachshund. She still shows the signs almost a year later, but she's very friendly and she seems so happy to be in a decent home. Can't begin to understand how a person can mistreat a helpless creature.

Actually, I'm surprised that the "it was a scary dog so I don't care what happens to it" crowd hasn't showed up yet.

little Loco

Loco's still doing well, but the leads on who poked his eyes out have gone cold.

No matter to him, he's adjusted to his life. He still wags his tail whenever he meets anybody. That's because his owner picks him up, talks to him, and he's always within earshot. Loco knows his master will keep him safe.

This little Rott will be OK if he's smothered with love. Dogs are trusting by nature, and it takes more than one horrible incident to destroy that.

Sorry to hear about your little dasch. I had to put my Lab Heidi down ten years ago, and did so only because she became completely incontinent. Don't be too hard on yourself; I got frustrated because I felt like a zookeeper in Heidi's last days.

I held her head in my hands and looked into her eyes as she breathed her last. I wanted to make sure that sweet dog left life knowing she was loved.

If anybody's going to euthanize your best friend, be there with them. It's hard as hell to do and rips your heart out, but don't let them go without you.

A final, wonderful act of love for your buddy.
