I think you're missing the point. If a "drug crime" is so awful to warrant death, or life imprisonment, civil death such that all you have is to eat and breathe, how can
anything mitigate it? If it is
that wrong,
nothing can make any more right.
When was the last time you heard of a murderer, devoid of mercy and social consciousness such that he takes the life of innocents with out thought or remorse, having his sentence commuted because he turned state's evidence against another murderer? Never, I hope.

We should do this in the U.S. *EXECUTE DRUG DEALERS*.
Of course not on some damn UN day, and after due process.

A suspended does not make anything wrong. It's still a capital punishment. Sometimes you don't have a clear cut in certain cases. For example, a wife kills her hunsband after constantly being physically abused or the son of the wife kills his father to protect his mother. Do you think she or he deserves to be executed?

I was talking about China. I don't know if it can happen in the States.

No. But she or he wouldn't get the death penalty. Do you think a person deserves to be killed for using or selling drugs?

I agree. But according to the Chinese tradition, it's the generally accepted rule that you kill a person and you pay with your life. It's just as natural as black and white. That's why judges need the suspended death penalty to make some compromise.

For using drugs, no. For selling drugs, it depends on the amount involved and the background of the case. Maybe the person is forced to do so by the mob.

You mean that there is such a case that you would kill a person for selling a drug, just for the selling act alone, not additionally destroying another's person or property?
To: Lake
The Bolsheviks in Russia used to harangue against "bourgeois morality" such as marriage and family. Shortly after their revolution they had to do an about-face because of the destructive nature of licentiousness and hedonism.

This would certainly be an effective way to bring the WoD to a successful conclusion.
