I made a good living for a couple of years, making controls for "Fadeometers" for a Chicago company. All colors fade.

Gosh, between posts, theories and facts, it's starting to all run together. Do you know or remember where we heard that the inside of the jacket was orange? Where was the orange afghan located at?

If Brenda was wearing a red sweater it is at all possible. Because of the style/textures in sweaters and the natural fibers either they use a primary color and secondary color to in the thread for effect or the natural fibers don't always hold color the same way.

I would think Danielle's blood and hair in his van would be MORE than enough to convict him!

The house belong to a man and his wife. The wife passed away and the man kept it as a reminder I suppose. But yes that recently.

ok, we need to connect the orange fibers, other strange tidbits, blood on his jacket and why in the world wouldn't he confess to that by now? I know you've heard me ask that before, I'm not trying to pound that idea in the ground..just can't lean towards that idea at this time.

The identity of that orange fiber is driving me crazy - with the amount of it found at DW's - it seems obvious that it comes from something belonging to him - he has to know where it comes from - if it was from some afghan he had draped over a piece of furn. on which Danielle may have sat during the cookie sale visit (or some such scenario) - why not produce the item - does the source for the orange fiber exist any more - prolly not or it may have been found already - but DW has to know where it all came from - but if he does know - it seems to be his secret - cuz I don't think Feldman knows the source either.

Remember the other people who were at the place where Westerfeild parked his van overnight, with the curtains closed, the same time she disappeared... the witnesses on the news said that Westerfield drove into the RV parking area with all the curtains closed all round, except for the front. As soon as he parked, he closed the front curtain, too. Witnesses said they heard voices inside the van. Two voices. It was on the news here in LA. Maybe you missed it.

Yep, there are rifles and handguns that use the 22cal bullet.

Long acrylic fibres - could be from stuffed toys, dog toys, (any plushy item, really), doll hair, fake fur, those "eyelash" knit sweaters that were really popular last year. My daughter got one of those for Christmas. I went in and pulled a couple of strands on it - they came away fairly easily, and each strand was about 1.5 inches long.

How about fibres from a "fake fur" Hallowe'en costume? I'm trying to think in terms of "orange", which is not a popular colour (understatement!).

For the really tacky-minded, how about orange plush seat covers for the car/van?

Well, why didn't they bring this up?? Is everyone just assuming that it was dyed orange or did she say it was dyed orange?

I gotta take a break..will check in after awhile..

Maybe he's had to save the true about he and BVD for the trial, per his lawyer's direction. Sure would blow this thing wide open.

She was murdered, they have said she was strangled. If that wasn't enough hell for a little girl to experience, I don't know what is.... Facts are all coming out. Her DNA was in Westerfields vehicle, blood and hair. More than enough evidence already point to him.

Could red fibers become sun bleached and look an orange color if left outside for a couple weeks?

Depends on what shade of red it was. If the dyes used hads a bit of yellow in it, and the fiber was beck dyed as opposed to solution dyed, it could have faded with esposure to the sun over a two week period. If it was just a straight red dyed fiber, it could have faded to a more pink cast, but not to orange.

FYI information, the reason the old brown shag carpets faded to orange and then to yellow is because the color brown is a mixture of yellow, red and blue dyes. Blues fades the fastest which turns the carpet to an orange color (yellow mixed with red) and then the red eventually fades out leaving yellow. Yellow virtually neve fades.

I'm just going from memory on the orange lining - but I barely got to see the jacket - other posters on other forums have been saying it too though - I'l try to find a pic.
The afghan was in a box in a storage area - off the property I think.

well if that is true is would have definitely changed the course of events as we know it. Remember, feldmans said prior to trial he has a bombshell that is as big as a confession or something..unless that's already been ''revealed''..
