Meretz is extremely left wing.

Interesting to see the comments, although I'm still unsure why Palestinian leaders chose not to show Bush's speech on television for their own people (per Fox News).
It appears Arafat enjoys using the radical elements of his society to speak for his alter ego(s), LOL!

Israeli soldiers adjust the cannon barrel of a tank on the outskirts of Bethlehem June 24, 2002. Israeli armor rumbled into Ramallah and surrounded the headquarters of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and the army said it was calling up a brigade of reservists under emergency mobilization orders.

Your right and I`ll go further by saying that within a year, the mideast will be at peace. What none of us know is what is going on behind closed doors with Bush and the Arab states. Bet the Saudi`s are going to be big players, finacing the Palestians so long as the bombing stops. Remember that the Saudi goverment is very consevative and always wants stability. The problem will be the settlements.
Bush was great today, isn`t it wonderful that the adults are back in charge.

Who knows? Those who say this is Arafat's last chance may be wrong for once. He's had endless 'last chances'....my hope is that he has just run out of last chances.

It appears Arafat enjoys using the radical elements of his society to speak for his alter ego(s), LOL! Arafat knows one thing for certain. He is a dead man if he proceeds with adopting the demands the president has made. Arafat has only two choices, either accept the conditions and be killed by his own nest of vipers OR call elections and hope like hell he does not win.

Our President was marvelous today. His speech was superb with complete moral clarity.
As for my fellow Jews, I do feel that the tide is changing. My parents have a wide circle of friends, where until recently they were the only Republicans. My father (he's the greatest) has been pointing out to these Democrats at every available opportunity who their real friends are. He's been reporting back to me that many of the most strident Sore/Loserman supporters have been coming around and telling him he's right. Whether or not this will translate into votes remains to be seen, the older they are the more the Democratic Party is ingrained into them, but for the first time I believe it is possible.

the Palestinians were surprisingly for it and the Israelis had their heels dug in, grudgingly voicing minimal support. ROFLMAO. How is it there in your parallel universe?
Kindly post ONE article where the Palestinians support it.

Boo F'ing Hoo....Too bad your "leader" lead you astray. You had 98% on the table 3 years ago...but guess what? Your man Arafat realized if he accepted he would be out of a job, just like Jesse should the race baiting war if it ever ends.
I have no sympathy for a people that are as ignorant as the pali's..I pray for their demise...
To: Cinnamon Girl
My main fear was the Pals would see this as a triumph for terror. Murder some kids and get a state. Guess they've seen Bush's impatience with Arafatism.

Meretz is semi-Marxist. Yossi Sarid is one of the LAST supporters in Israel of Oslo. To him this must be like the sky falling down. Which is just as well considering his party's in the opposition.
