I saw O'Reilly's interview with Bingerman last night. Bingerman said he introduced the legislation because when the INS comes across a newly entered illegal in need of medical care, they have to call a border EMS company. The illegal is then taken to and given care in an American border hospital, and shouldn't the American EMS companies and hospitals be reimbersed for their services...

...and I'm thinking, gee, why doesn't the INS call a freakin' Mexican ambulance and have the illegal taken to a freakin' Mexican border hospital.

BERNING: More importantly for us, these folks have been here for a period of time. They've been contributing. They've been paying taxes and they haven't been getting any benefit out of it.

I love the way liberals always use this argument - that payment of a few hundred dollars in taxes entitles illegal immigrants to thousands of dollars worth of benefits. Therefore, those of us who pay tens of thousands in taxes ought to be entitled to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of benefits, no?

BS. I live in an area with a lot of these 'immigrants' and the American teenagers have a hard time getting a job in a fast food joint. No, there's nothing wrong with these kids, they want to work and earn some spending money. They have to work in another part of town where the criminals are not dominate in order to get a summer job. Illegals also drive down the wages for American workers.
