They've been covering for each other and compromising national security for too long, as evidenced by Congressman Condit's acceptance into their ranks. There are ~37 congressional members on the select commitee and leaks like this are almost unavoidable when you add "staff" to the equation - and the fact that Washington DC's lifeblood is the media.

It's sad that national security is being compromised by career politicians wanting media attention.

Yeah, Bin Laden didnt know that we have the ability to listen to every electronic message in the world.

Cheney and others sooo upset about "leaks" are worried that the truth will sicken and anger Americans.

The brains behind the Saudis and Bin Laden and Iraq and Iran and yada, yada know all about our abilities to listen .

The government pretending that there is some secret little Arab turning over secret nfo is hysterial.

The only secrets are when and if incompetent,lazy,immoral, illegal ,corrupt Americans will be held accountable for the murder of thousands of our citizens.

When indicted intelligence officers like Ames, Pollard, and Hanson gave up info, people (i.e. sources) did die. In the case of Ames, several of our agents in Moscow were killed by the KGB when they found out they were working for us.

Furthermore, the mere fact that the NSA DID intercepted messages pre-9/11 shows that the terrorists DIDN'T know that they were being intercepted. So much for your brain dead argument. In all probability, these leaks serve to alert our enemies that we have broken into their communication networks and they will, in course, change their methods. This leaves us in the dark for the period that it takes to find their communication networks, again, and to tap into them.

Thanks for showing your stupidity with regards to the essentials of national security.

BTW, when you offer evidence that is documented by valid news sources (i.e. not web pages created by crackpots on their home computers) that Bush/Cheney let 9/11 happen and that they are now in cover-up mode, I'll listen. Until then, let the laughs continue.
