Isn't ignoring a deportation order a felony?

For the illegal correct, however, it is a criminal offence to harbor and employ illegals. That should be the focus of the INS.

To chase about 8 million illegals is a futile process. The focus should be on the AMERICANS who hire them.

I am sure it is not. The only "punishment" is deportation. There is no threat of jail time or even a fine. Someone posted an interesting thread about the legal distinctions between an "offense" and a "crime". I will try to find it.

Bravo. If James Ziglar won't or can't enforce our country's immigration laws, its time to send them to the fields to pick cotton. His talents would be better suited there.

No, no, no.. He's a libertarian.. and he's in a state of "conflict".. TORN between his job and what he knows is right in his heart!

I completely sympathize.. I used to be a cop, but I don't want to throw criminals in jail..

Then I was a Construction worker, but I hate to build things.

Oh, THE PAIN!

Deport them all even if it bankrupts this country. Not that it makes a difference since we already have as budget deficit. And unless Ziglar cares to go cotton pickin' in the fields, he will DO his job.

Sorry, I made a typo in that line. I meant HIM, James Ziglar. At any rate the man's a living illustration of the Peter Principle at work. Good thing Congress rebuked him for deciding which laws his agency would enforce.

I agree, and as far as bankrupting the country goes..

I think most of that argument comes from people who don't want to compete and pay a decent wage.

They want YOU to compete for your wage as an employee.. But, employers want to pay a bowl of rice & break the law.. and then turn and call it "Conservative"

Nope.. We got migrant worker programs.. We got unemployed Americans. If your job has to be done then you can follow the law and compete for your labor just like everyone else.

Play fair. No stacking the deck with illegals.

Why does it take so much effort to deport someone when they've been found to be here illegally? Just load them up on a plane or bus or train back to where they came from.
