Hah. You're doomed :))).
That's a bit too easy, I'm afraid. Please explain to us about your material on the "Jewish genocidal hatred". Against white people, to boot.
But it gets away from me sometimes.
It does? Nothing gets away from me. You must learn to focus, Pinlighter. Answer the question, please.
That's wierd. I saw him several years ago and he absolutely trashed all his songs and sounded, even for him, absolutely awful. He also looked like he was rode hard and put away wet. I pretty much prefer pre-crash Bob.
Dunno if you understand it or not, but it does have a significance. It stands for "Zionist Occupied Government" and is sort of an ideological plank for neo-Nazis everywhere. One of the owners of an American Nazi site, faem.com, who is a former US military man, claims to be the inventor of the term. Much as LarryLied claims to be the inventor of a favourite term of his - "holocaustism" - which only appears on various Nazi and holocoust-denial sites.
It's an unfortunate name to put on a kids page, I'd say.
1) You know the information is accurate.
Duhh, like Ive said several times before, scientist.
1-A I dont know about the validity of the list.
1-B Id guess that every one of those identified as Jews were Jews or their parents were.
1-C I reject the list though based both on my belief that communists adhere to no religion, as well as the missing Christians.
1-D Youre suggesting there was not one Christian in the communist hierarchy?
1-E Similar lists can be constructed to prove National Socialism was a purely Christian enterprise. An equally false and hateful conclusion. 1-F The structure of the data is bogus, the source is bogus, the conclusion is bogus (talking about Nazism as a Christian invention, dont care what you think about Jews and Communism).
2) You want to obfusticate the information with attacks ad hominem
Ad hominem? No sir.
Ive been straightforeward. Your data comes from historical revisiónist sites and hate sites. Thats a fact, easily verified, sources you defend, not obfuscation. Readers can accept it, or ignore it based on the source.
I see. Do you have any literature references for this rather novel interpretation of history?
Where's my e-mail?
Don't be so impatient, Pinlighter :). It'll come when it comes.
I agree, probably because I listened to it way too much when I was a kid.
That one, he had a co-writer too. I love his older (newer, I mean) old man lyrics. "Time Out of Mind" is so depressing("it's not dark yet, but it's gettin' there") it makes me laugh. Plus, it's just beautiful. Love this thread. I could go on and on about Dylan.
I believe he is a Christian, still. Still plenty of suggestions of it in his lyrics.
Nah, don't be sorry. The thread is churning out good information. Although the way the wind is blowing you'd almost think we weren't in Kansas anymore :)).
What about Street Legal? "The vows that we kept have been broken and swept 'neath the bed where we slept".
That tune is so dull but the lyrics turn it into a song. Again, so funny, talented, and devastated-
I enjoy "Saved". Didn't expect anyone to mention it on this thread. I bought a new copy and listened to it for the first time in 20 years, last year. All the lyrics I'd forgotten, came back to me immediately.
Time Out Of Mind: I don't understand Cold Irons Bound, but think it's one of the best songs.
Current favorite lyric from that album: "...big white clouds, like chariots that swing down low...well my hearts in the high-lands..." And "I'm already there in my mind. That's good enough for now."
Any conservative woman comes on this thread praising Time out Of Mind, I'm going to send her love notes thru freeper mail.
Live 1966 is great: particularly the knock-out "I don't believe you". This was one of the concerts where the audience was upset at the rock 'n roll. Someone from the Scot communist party yells out "Judas!"
I think most in the audience were complaining because of the volume, not the electricity. It sure is ear-splitting when I play it.
After the Judas yell, Dylan can be heard saying to the band , "play f*ing LOUD" and he goes into an accusatory "Like A Rolling Stone". It's marvelous. And at the end just some smattering of applause. It was 1966 after all.
Theres a forum over at bobdylan.com. Guardian socialists asking questions like: "Was Dylan certifiably insane when he converted ?" He sure upsets some people.
"Lay Lady Lay" (on Skyline) and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" are my two fave Bobby D tunes.
