You could also add that these 'flash massacres' were also arguably 'medical experiments', as the cities were left untouched, before the bombing, instruments were dropped out of the Enola Gay with the bomb, different types of bombs were used on each city and scientific data was gathered in the aftermath. Read the whole sentence. Are you studying journalism 101? Since Japanese didn't surrender after the first bomb, and when emperor's plans to surrender after the 2nd one were found out, a group of his top generals tried to rebel against him to keep the war going, one can argue that Japanese wanted to get bombed a 3rd time, and thus enjoyed the experience.

You negociate before you attack in any prison riot. this was an 'opportunity profile' for revenge. Negotiate what? This is not a prison, this is a POW camp in a middle of the war.
