Evil ideology aside, the ChiComs are just another Chinese dynasty, and like any dynasty it seeks to perpetuate itself and its children in power and wealth forever and ever. In other words, they killed the landlord class so that THEY could be the landlords.

No access to secrets, but it doesn't require CIA connections to guess that the senior leadership in China is probably familiar with the old proverb "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Yes, but the Chinese leadership thinks strategically and long term. Besides, they can probably buy themselves a respite from their own Islamofascist troubles for the right price.

The senior Chinese leadership have one major goal at this time: to "unify" the Motherland. In order to accomplish that goal, they must 1) maintain their control on power, 2) squash dissent in Tibet and Xinjiang, and 3) swallow up Taiwan.
The Chinese have an Islamic problem of their own to deal with in Xinjiang. They must conquer the "enemy within" before they can deal with the enemy without. It would be foolhardy to fight both with and against Islam at the same time.
When the Communists in China "talk tough," it is usually directed at showing their own people how "powerful" they are, or to stir up nationalistic feelings in order to get the commoners on their side.
I don't think the Chinese leadership have ambitions for world domination, and they certainly don't consider the U.S. and "enemy." A competitor, a threat to their lies and propaganda, a nation to be feared and respected, yes, but not the enemy. They have neither the capability nor the stupidity to attack the U.S. or to ally themselves with Islamic extremists in some irrational attempt to rule the world.
