I have come to the conclusion that there is something about Jewish people. That's why I am so interested in them and so curious about them. There are so very few of them compared to the rest of the population of the world, yet they have played such prominent roles throughout history. My Bible knowledge is not the best, but I know enough to realize there is something there. I believe the majority of Jewish people are good people with really kind hearts. However, non-Jews do focus on the few bad ones and then the good ones, who are really good, end up paying the price. And I know this is probably not a PC thing to say, but they really are smarter and deeper thinkers than other peoples. My friend who converted said it's because historically Jews have placed lots of importance on education and learning in general. But I am convinced they are meant to play a prominent role in human history. I just have so many questions how this all fits in. And why so many have to suffer because of the evil deeds of a few. If that makes any sense?!

I can't believe I have been on this thread for hours now! It is morning here, so I should get some sleep. It was fun though! Well, that little earthquake occured at 2:15 am my time, so later I will check the earthquake site to see if it shows up.

Earlier someone wrote how the winners write the history. This has always bugged me, as so much information gets left out. I'm currently reading H.G.Wells The Outline of History, which was written in 1920. I like reading old books like that as they give a different perspective regarding history, before books were so heavily censored. It's really interesting, although it's so packed with information that it is slow reading for me if I want to take in everything. I feel we can learn so much if we look back to the past. However, people and countries do tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. I am concerned about this war on terror business, I feel there is so much to it and we are given so little information. I feel the world will be different from now on, and we will not feel as safe. The Jews in New York who want to patrol are feeling the same way obviously. I just hope we will all be okey. I still can't believe I stayed up all night! I'm probably not the first one on FR to do so however. So I will say good night, or more appropriately, good morning!

This reminds me of all the Black Church burnings here in the US during the Clinton administration.

Deserted churches in Europe are turned into Mosques. Of course, the Jew is blamed for all of Europe's muslim woes lately as well as in America.

Parts of these neighborhoods are filled with Jews who dress very distinctly, where there are NO non-Jewish stores; these streets are filled with store front shteiblach, houses of worship and school after school. They are all targets for someone who would not readily fit in.

I am not trying to make light of your statement,but this sounds almost like a Jewish Ghetto(with no derogatory term associated with "ghetto").
