Losers
What a great and generous offer!
It is a good thing that we don't live in the same area. Or we might get to know the riot police on a first name basis.
Afternoon Everyone.
I'm pretty sure that everyone reading and especially posting here in a monthly donor to FR, but in the unlikely event that there's a Texan who has not given during this current fundraiser, please do so immediately.
There are 1000 Texans registered here and a very manly (or ladily) 39 have bothered to give. That is so sick I can't tell you.
If we all cannot afford a dollar a month for FreeRepublic, we probably should get a job, get another job, get a third job or get off the internet altogether.
Resume discussion please. JL
the riot cops haven't shown up yet, but when i cook a good sized barbeque, the
firefighters tend to show up... and i gotta say, these guys can eat a lot of barbeque.
But today, Western Washington is back to normal, with temps in the 60s and 70s, grey skies, and maybe even a sprinkle of rain...that torrid heat we had yesterday was nasty...
Palo, thanks for all your Lulu reports, here and on DD...my Lulu fix for the day...I can see why you need to swim every day, with your heat, which thankfully, we will not approach today, nor in the week to come...
GrampaDave....you are so right about the varied temps in Washington state....if you live along Puget Sounds, in between the two mountain ranges, then you have the more mild temperate summers, yesterday, being an exception...but once you get over the Cascades, and head into the interior of Washington, its just like you say, the desert kicks in...
When my husband was in the reserves, many a weekend, they would go to Yakima for training...and it was miserable in the summer...temps in the 100 degree range and above...hubby would come back from training all sunburned, and crabby...
Washington State really does have varied and diverse climates...along Puget Sound, its the mild temperate temps, but the interior is hot, hot, hot, and then eastern Washington gets hot in the summer and cold, with snow in the winter...
Seems like we have it all here in one state...the ocean, the sound, mountains, deserts, temperate rain forests, fields, prairies, and woodland forests...just a varied state...
The main point to all is still, if everyone gave one steeenking dollar each month, twelve steeeenking dollars each year, we would not be having this conversation.
And that fact, as much as anything chaps my a$$.
