Okay - Everyone to pre 1700 borders Well, in that case all of y'all are in Virginia...
To: callisto
You bet he is. There will probably be a UN resolution before too long, demanding retreat to pre-1846 borders.

The Southwest belongs-
The Southwest belongs-
The Southwest belongs to ME

Nah, if that happens, they can't demand and get all the free social services handouts they've been getting. They have to be IN the US to have those. IF we give back that land, the handouts will stop. They'll just keep moving the borders.

Now, now, let's not be hasty, here...
I'm sure I speak for many Texans when I suggest that perhaps a Yucatan peninsula-Rio Grande Valley trade might be mutually beneficial..... just a thought, mull it over...

"Especially Canada"
Lucky for you Laz, after Canada and Mexico divvy up the continent, you'll be allowed to move south of the 40th parallel...to Mexican Territory. ;^)
At least you won't have to endure Canuck poetry, in French or English.
Hasta la vista, compadre! Don't drink the water!

In my area this attitude of an open border by Mexicans is fairly prevalent. The Mexicans "commute" to the U.S. for their work week and go back across the river for the weekend. Almost any given day of the week I can walk out my front door and count about half a dozen illegals mowing lawns, cleaning houses, etc. They insist on being paid in cash so there is no paper trail. They sleep in their trucks out in the country. This goes on all over Texas, and I would suppose happens in Arizona and California too. Of course, if people didn't employ them illegally to begin with we wouldn't have this problem. Law enforcement turns a blind eye.

Azlatan will come. The Palestinians have had such incredible success, that this tactic will be replicated here in AmericaAnd the next step, as a recent poll of the Palestinians indicated, is that the U.S. has no right to exist. That will take a few years, once they've been granted their southwest "territories."

apologists on this very forum have assured us repeatedly that only the crackpot minority within the hispanic community here agree with the aims of La Raza.Much as they have labeled me personally a paranoid crackpot when I refer them to Thomas Chitum's excellent book "Civil War 2". IMHO, the man saw some similar situations firsthand at other places in the world , and connected the dots when he got back to the US.
Another factor the apologists never mention is the themes on the Spanish language TV and radio stations, plus the spanish language newspapers. The Mexicano population in the States will laugh at any gringo mentioning the word "reconquista", but believe me, that process is openly discussed in a positive manner in the Mexicano sub-culture on this side of the border. The Mexican school system itself has some very interesting things to say about Texas, and the 1847 War. Many of the children listening to those messages are now all grown up and here, legally or otherwise. Quite a few of them vote, and some of the people that believed in the reconquista enough to be members of advocacy organizations even hold elected office here in Kali.

No "south of the 40th parallel" agua for this gringa ;^)

George Bush's philosophy on all this seems to be: "Mi Alamo es su Alamo."

And in Sacramento. And on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, which yesterday voted 4-1 to allow "immigrants" to use their Mexican ID card when they need to show ID. The lone nay vote was by Mike Antonovich, a Republican. He argued that this was a back-door way to make illegals legal and he's right.

ROTFLMAO-eh!!!

"There is obviously a large and significant gap between the attitudes of Americans and Mexicans," Yeah, so what?? I am not sacrificing the future of my country just so Zogby can report that this "gap" has been closed. You wanna close a gap? How 'bout closing that gap on the border down there? There's a gap that needs to be closed, not my "attitude"
