..I see no prior history of child molestation by DW. I do see a rather strange note written by Danielle to her father begging for forgiveness, a trait not uncommon in incest cases...

This raises my eyebrows too, especially poor Danielle writing "Please love me" in her diary. No matter how bad I ever was or how severely I was punished for any transgressions, I never felt I had to ask my parents to love me- I knew they did because their love for me was appropriate for two decent parents. With Danielle, who knows...

BTW. I was reading the transcripts and it said that on the weekend Danielle disappeared that

DW came driving home in the Motorhome. He couldn't get home because of all the police cars. He parked a block away and walked through the hood. He stopped at his neighbor's house (Mark) and asked what happened. Mark told him about Danielle. He was then concerned, so he WENT TO HIS HOUSE and searched the house, the back yard, and especially the POOL. Then he came back to Mark's and told him that if the police needed to talk to him, HERE WAS HIS BUSINESS CARD SO THEY COULD GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM. He decided to leave AS THEY HAD THE AREA BLOCKED OFF.

I don't think Danielle's killer is a serial killer. It doesn't have that feel to it. I would hope SD LE brought in a profiler but from the way they conducted the case, I'm sure they didn't. I have serious concerns about this investigation. P.S. My ex-husband was a cop, FWIW.

I'm not a profiler, sometimes I wish I was. It's fascinating stuff. Everything I know is what I've learned over a decade of working with people in a variety of psych and medical settings. As for citing specifics sources, Google searchers, go for it!

Except that "rather strange note" is not actually known to exist by any one other than Douglas Peirce and it has not been produced in evidence or discovery.

Be sure to listen to one of the recordings, Rheo. Odd bit of history about the U-T transcripts--the original ones they posted said "They were green"--then the revised edition showed up. Several people have listened to it, and believe the recording was as first reported. Then Court TV posted their transcript, and it said "Her eyes are blue green." So apparently there's a little creative editing going on, which is why I advise people to listen and form their own opinions.
