I can't believe Lauder wrote such a one-dimensional article. Ronald knows better. He knows damn well that Jews have voted for Republicans in the last 3 Mayoral elections in NYC.

He mention's it, along with Hillary's overwhelming 58% share of the Jewish vote (@10% of NY guess the Jews didn't elect her after all). He's reaching out.

Funny thread? There are those who just don't want the Jewish vote.

1. Lauder mentioned 2 elections with a falling % of Jews voting for the Republican. The facts are better.
In 1997, Giulliani ran against a leftist-Jew, Ruth Messinger.
In 1993, Giullianin won 51% of the Jewish vote.

2. Who doesn't want the Jewish vote? I only see those who want Jews to vite more conservative in general.

I never said that abortion is a Jewish issue. I never said that Jews are especially responsible for abortion. I was responding to an article that was about Jews, and which specifically made the point that most Jews are pro-abortion, and that the Republican Party is no longer monolithically pro-life.

If posting comments about an article that deals specifically with Jews makes the poster an anti-Semite, then I will avoid doing so in the future. My point was that it is ironic and tragic that Jews, who have the been the victim of more than one genocidal campaign, are generally blind and deaf to the tragedy and irony of their own support for the killing of the unborn.

Don't know who called you an anti-semite. Thanks for the clarification.

I believe Jews who continue to support the Democratic party invite anihilation of our faith. The Talmud does not support the principles underpinning the planks of the Democratic party. Homosexuality, Pro-Abortion and limiting the right to defend ourselves are not part and parcell of our religion. The recent reformation in Judaism over the last century has diluted and misrepresented our identity as a culture. Liberal Jews cringe at the mentioning of "Family Values", yet it is precisely these Values which will help to preserve Judaism for our descendants.

Great post, I too believe that if the Jewish people continue to support the liberal (Dems) it will be the end of a people chosen by G-d to show all nations godliness. They must never waiver from the scriptural teachings, family values and a strong religious commitment to absolute right and absolute wrong.. Shalom

"I was referring to the many American Jews who fully and emphatically have supported the killing of 41 million babies in America in the last 30 years" As a Jew who has always been Pro Life I can't explain why so many Jews hold a Pro Abortion position; but I can tell you it is not from any doctrinal flaw in Judaism. Neither the old testament nor the Talmud permits or sanctions the practice of abortion... it is simply murder. As any people, we are not monolithic on any particular issue, but it bothers me that on such a clear cut moral issue, so many of my fellow Jews have been on the wrong side of the fence.

I was definitely not bashing Judaism, or pro-life Jews!

I'm a Catholic, and there's certainly no ambiguity in Catholicism about it, but every single, solitary Catholic Democrat is pro-abortion. Yeah, I know a handful are "pro-life"--but that's like holding office in the Nazi Party and being against the Party on the "single issue" of the death camps.
