I know how you feel...since 9/11,I have had an American flag on the side of my trailer-eventually..it faded badly-and I had to retire it..but not until I got a new, larger flag(4x6)-the colors don't run or fade..and I'm still the only one in my neighborhood with a flag displayed. I've gotten lots of compliments..yet my neighbors still don't fly a flag..heck..the feller across the street-even has a flagpole..still..no flag.

Before 9/11-I was in the process of arranging for an outside flagpole-but it was too expensive..for a poor feller like me-when 9/11 happened..I said to heck with a flagpole...and immediately attached my flag to the front of my trailer..with appropiate lighting for nighttime.

Warning: The surgeon general has determined that staring at the sun to see an eclipse

can be hazardous to your health and lead to sightings of rainbows and other strange objects

for hours afterwards. That is all.

A crescent sun and a crescent moon are very different things. moslems worship their MOON god, allah. The sun god, as I seem to recall was named, rah.

I see the almost requisite posts of, "they'd (moslems) better not try anything, or else" frequently on Free Republic these days.

Given that not a single moslem middle-eastern male between the age of 19 and 45 who is in the United States illegally has been deported since 9/11, the "or else" rings pretty hollow. The number of middle-eastern moslems attending flight school in the United States has INCREASED since 9/11 from articles that I've read here on Free Republic.

The only tangible thing we've done as a result of moslems slaughtering our citizens, is to bomb the rubble piles of Afghanistan into rubble piles, pass laws that infringe on our own Constitutional rights, expand government, increase our own costs of transportation and enable ham-fisted high-school drop-outs freebie gropes of our grandmothers and nine year old daughters at airports.

We didn't vapourize Mecca, Saudi Arabia as we should have. We didn't seal our borders from a flood of illegals, as we should have. And we didn't deport one single moslem terrorist that is here illegally, as we should have. We didn't send the bill to clean up and rebuild the WTC to the Saudis, as we should have.

The "or else" is meaningless because America does nothing when thousands of its innocent citizens have been slaughtered by moslems in the name of their moon god.

I wondered if I had imagined a crescent moon on 9/10, seemed like it could have been an embellishment my memory added after the fact. But I just looked at a few moon-phase sites, and sure enough, it was a last-quarter crescent that night.

It's supposed to be a new moon tonight, but we're going to have a crescent sunset in some places. Call me a little freaked out.

Something besides numbers and days of the week concerning the 11th. Might increase the value of my previously-mentioned forebodings to about a dime...

The ragheads used to do this to the Russians, blowing up apartment buildings in Russian cities, but Moscow massacred thousands in Chechnya, so they have turned their sights on the US and Israel

Actually that is one of the few things i like about Russia.... they can be very decisive when they want to be! For example the Chechnyans know that if they ever did a 'real' strike against Russian assets they would have a finite time before a tactical nuke 'accidentally' went off in the middle of Grozny!

Actually that reminds me of two cases. the first is that the Chechnyans had acquired some radioactive material, rigged it to an explosive device, and then left it at a Russian marketplace. However they immediately phoned Russian authorities, told them what they did, and where they put the device....and hence the authorities went and defused it! The reason they did this is because they knew had the thing gone off the results would have been settled by the Russians in approximately the time it takes for a kiloton payload to fly to Grozny! Thus they knew their limits when it came to 'terrorism' against Russia.

The second example is the Russian Spetsnaz (Spetsialnoye nazranie) special forces! Honestly i am so in awe of them that i even chose my moniker based on them! The reason is that they are so no-nonsense that in 1985 when terrorists kdinapped several Russian officials in the Soviet Embassy in Beirut. The Spetsnaz gave the terrorists 48 hours to let the Russian hostages go, but when the deadline came and passed the spetsnaz pulled off a simple yet efficient job. They stealthily managed to kidnap four of the kidnappers, and then decapitated them, and then sent one of the decapitated heads to the Terrorist chief with a promise of 'further unrestrained action!'

The hostages were promptly released!

The Jehadis would never have done a 9-11 attack against the Russians because they know Russia would not have been concerned with a 'global coalition' or not 'offending' Arab allies (and i find that to be a good description of an oxymoron ...Arab Ally)! They would simply have chosen some target in the MiddleEast and sent a tactical nuke, together with a promise to 'up the ante' and chose a 'bigger' target next time. After Afghanistan i doubt they would have bothered sending a conventional force to round things up. And i doubt the Jehadis would strike again if they knew with every strike a Beirut or Tehran sized Islamic city becomes uninhabitable for the next ten thousand years!

I think if the Jehadis knew that the US would not tolerate actions like 9-11 they would think twice before sending people to blow up our buildings!

I guess that is why the Bush Whitehouse changed its policy on the use of tactical nukes, saying it is now ready to use them pre-emptively!

I stopped by the grocery store this morning and they were all out of tin foil & foil party hats. The gun store had lots of ammo so I got several cases of that instead :p

Anyone know what day the "dirty nuclear" bomber just caught today was planning on detonating his weapon?

The cross is always more powerful than the crescent; there is no reason to fear any symbol of it.
