I agree that the fact that she's new shouldn't be an issue. However, posters of any vintage who lecture other posters that they shouldn't be "chatting", are legitimate targets for "shut up and go away"-type responses. If Ashley can't take her own medicine, she shouldn't be dishing it out to others.

I had been thinking of the typically white work pants/coveralls and caps of painters and plasterers. But the hospital orderly hypothesis is even more appealing... I hadn't heard that but it does make a lot of sense..especially the bit about the shoes.

I'm hoping police have help from profilers and are tracking down hospital employees who might have been around the family at the hospital. The grandfather was very close to his missing granddaughter - I could see him talking about her to one of his hospital helpers.

I had a dreadful image before I woke up this am - a once beautiful face in the first stages of decomposition, a fearful expression, the lips drawn back exposing the teeth. My dream voice said "beth" I've been very upset all morning because I thought it was an image of my big sister Beth. I've been think of calling her and telling her to be careful.

My one and only daughter, thanks for asking. Accosted at 14 and again at 17, in very nice beach communities outside LA.

And then, while property manager at a large downtown office building in San Francisco, she was threatened with death by a crazed lunatic on the security force of the building. He got into her office, got her home phone and address, left threatening calls on her office and home phones. San Fran police, the building security force, and an additional security force in the building guarding secret operations for a large company based there could do NOTHING as she hadn't been killed yet. She RAN to Idaho and married a big, strong sheriff. How's that for self-preservation! Now she lives on a ranch with hubby, huge dogs, and knows how to use her gun.

I'm sorry now that I clicked on this link. The name was familiar,but I couldn't remember who she was. Now I know,and I am both depressed AND pissed-off.I'm going to spend the rest of the day wanting to hurt somebody.

This girl looks closer to 10 than she does 14. IF the animal that kidnapped her allows her to live and go free,he should be imprisoned for the rest of his natural life,and then fed to the dogs. If he murders her,he should be immediately put to death as soon as found guilty. We have no right to call ourselves a civilization as long as we allow child rapists and murderers to ever go free again.

well, it is a sad post about this girl... nothing happy about it but keep her face in your mind....that guy could be anywhere with her and she has to eat, go to the bathroom , etc Of course, the worse might have already happened...but we can also pray...
