The 45-year-old had rejected a plea agreement in which he would have received an eight-year prison sentence. Not only is his a sicko perv, but he's aslo dumber than a bag of hammers, too.

As a resident of Williamson County I am very happy that our citizens take their job of jurors seriously. Here in Williamson Co., "you do the crime, you pay the time", just fact. No PC here.

It's about time that harsh sentences are handed out to these perverts, most people don't understand that child molesters aren't capable of reform.

Since I am in the next door Travis County, I, too, am pleased with the sentence. This guy needs to be in prison for life!

It does seem to be akin to a disease with these people.

"I think [the jury] heard 'sex offender' and 'habitual criminal,' and that's all they needed to hear.No kidding!

Hello neighbor! Thanks for the reply. Most people who break the law DO NOT want to be tried here in Williamson Co. We have a low repetition in crime rate with stiff sentences handed out the first time. So sorry about the liberal attitude in Travis Co.

Child molesters should be executed.

"I suspect the jury was bothered by two things," Bradley said. "One, he got on the stand and lied to them about not knowing that he was supposed to register. When a child molester gets on the stand and lies about something that helps protect him against molesting future children, that bothers them." "Bother" is such a mild word. How about: drives them madly insane so that they want to throw the creep in prison for the rest of his freaking life? Whew, I feel better now.

GOOD! I hope he dies in prison, in a lot of pain.

"Ballard had been placed on deferred adjudication, a form of probation, in 1991 for sexual assault of a child in Travis County." The prosecutor who agreed to this plea and the judge who signned off on this should both go into work they are more suited for- like picking up cigarette buts along the highway. What a bunch of morons!!!

"One of the things I argued to the jury was, 'All he did was fail to sign a piece of paper,' " Hines said. "I think they heard 'sex offender' and 'habitual criminal,' and that's all they needed to hear. They had zero sympathy for him.""One of the things I argued to the jury was, 'All he did was press his right index finger a few times against the trigger.' I think when they heard 'mass murderer' and 'shooting everyone in the Quicki-Mart' that's all they needed to hear."

1. He was arrested and convicted for sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl
2. He was released and violated the terms of his probation.
3. He LIED about knowing the terms of his probation.
4. He thumbed his nose at a plea agreement.
5. He acted like #1 was NO BIG DEAL!!
I agree maeng, we folks here in Williamson County take a real dim view of crime in general, but particularly can't stand people messing with kids!
Lock him up & throw away the key....after all, life in prison is 'no big deal'. :)

This same Judge was the DA when my ex confessed to molesting our children. The ex confessed to having felony sexual encounters with both daughters, the youngest was 7 months old when he began. Jergins office did not send police recommendation to grand jury as the ex would have to pay support..now guess who the Judge is in Court while the ex does not pay his "support".. If you guessed Jergins, you would be right. If you guessed the ex was white and I was Mexican, you would again be right. If you guessed the ex's lawyer was the Lawyer for Texas Baptist Children's Home's Troy Voelker, you would again be right. Justice for who??? Is the guy who got life a black man??
