Lets hope he ends up like Jeffrey Dahmer, head split wide open on the floor of the bathroom!

December 26, 1998: Oregon. Arson of U.S. Forest Industries' corporate headquarters in Medford, Oregon. The three alarm blaze resulted in over $500,000 in damages. ELF claimed responsibility in a communique released by the Liberation Collective in Portland, Oregon.

Former employer, I used to work out of that office. I also believe that they torched the office of Superior Lumber Company (small family owned sawmill) in Glendale Oregon a year and a half ago...they were trying to burn up the payroll right before pay day if remember right.

On June 16, 2000 I ignited a fire that would forever change my life. I torched 3 SUV’s. I took extra care and used specific fuels to ensure no one would be injured.

He freely admits he committed arson and incinerated property worth, at minimum, $80,000.00.

They used to hang people for stealing a horse.

Way I figure, he got off easy.

Thanks for posting this Glutton. Any idea what happened to the Eart Fisters who were convicted of sabotaging logging equipment in Idaho a few years back? I seam to remember that these spoiled brats were held personally liable for the damage they did. Last I heard they were appealing to other Dirt Firsters for $$$ to pay back the logger. I'll betcha they just grew more pot that year and paid him off with a bag of $10's and $20's.

Thanks forester for posting this. Besides the immediate $ damage, how many jobs did just these two fires cost Oregon?

Add these two fires to the long list that Carry posted, and these eco terrorists cost a lot money and jobs for the state of Oregon.

Tell me about redwood splinters. About 5 weeks ago I planted about 35 plants for my DIL, connected a drip system for each plant and covered them with redwood bark. I went back a couple days later to reconnect some of the drip outlets. Even with gloves I got splinters.

When I get them in my thumbs, if my wife or doc can't get them all out, they go back up into the thumb hit the nail and then come out. Like the old bamboo splinter torture except with me the splinters leave the nail instead of coming in. For about a week or so, it smarts.

I find myself dreaming that one of these days someone is going to 'slip' with a 12 gauge pump, 'accidentally' load one of those crooks with 45 pellets of OO buckshot, and be tried in a (former) lumbering community. The jury, of course, would find such a shooting entirely accidental.

It would be nice if we could get their funding cut. That way they would have to get jobs and work for a living.
