Pay attention now:
1) We ALL said we weren't talking about YOU.
2)And nobody said we were leaving; we are sick and tired of -- NOT THE CRITICISM -- BUT THE LIES. We're just going to have to come up with a plan not to be baited, because we are wasting a LOT of time arguing with other people when we should be arguing with the Democrats. If we don't concentrate soon, we'll loose what little control we have. And from the looks of it, that would be just FINE with some of the people here.

So, if someone does not agree with you then they are automatically a DU disruptor? Kinda fascist don't ya think? So MYJ is automatically a fascist by his/her use of DU? Calling someone a fascist is Nazi talk, don't ya think?

Hey I asked the newbie to post a link to his claims and he couldn't or wouldn't. I don't think it's right to slander someone if you don't have a single fact to back it up... DO YOU?

If you believe a right is revocable, what then, is the difference between a right and a priviledge? Please spell out in concrete terms what differentiates the two.
From the snipet of my post you are responding to here, I answered that already. You posted the answer!

I'd respond, but I think the article's overwhelming and obvious stupidity allows it to stand in its own refutation. What is it like to be as stupid as someone who would write something like this?

"He is the president of ALL the people, and, much as you'd like him not to, he has to take everybody's wants into consideration. "Actually the idea is for elected politicians to stand for a set of principles. If enough people like those principles then they are elected and owe those who elected them fidelity to those principles.
I suppose Bush has principles, they are just not the ones I thought he had. My mistake. He is better than Gore though.

The bashing goes both ways.
Yep if only some of it could be directed at the Democrats for the remainder of this congressional election period it would be nice. Just retaining the House will be a chore much less regaining control of the Senate.....

I understand what you're saying, kind of, but I think you're missing the salient point. Bush, during the interview, said he'd veto unconstitutional legislation that came his way. Yet Bush signed CFR even though he knew it to be unconstitutional. Therefore, his final action was not consistent with this campaign message. One could argue that Bush's view evolved, and that would be a legit stance. But one cannot argue that there WAS no change. See where I'm coming from?

The smart strategy would have been to elect an actual conservative Republican, not someone with no core principles who would rubber stamp democrat policy. Mission accomplished.
To: PhiKapMom
"Whatever happened to bashing the DemocRATS -- daschle, leahy, gephardt. More time has been spent bashing Bush and his supporters than the RATS lately!"
It's called extreme disappointment. It's expected that Democrats (Socialists) sell out the Principals this Nation must have to continue to exist. It's NOT expected that the Republicans have compromised and moved so near the center of the political area that there's not enough difference in the two to continue to vote for them.
When you're mad about being lied to and sold out you just naturally strike back.
The next election is going to be a real toss up, just like the last one. Good luck.

Thanks, I saw it. My response in 514, if you get a chance.

You are absolutely right. A lot of these people on here claiming to be the "true conservatives" are some of the biggest liars on the planet. I don't consider such blatant dishonesty to be a conservative virtue.
To: MJY1288
I don't really know what went on in your conversation with that guy since all his posts have been deleted. Just a little sick of seeing so many FReepers getting banned for not agreeing with our President. I thought this was a conservative discussion forum, not a republican probaganda website.

Sigh. Bush stated he would veto unconstitutional legislation. Bush stated the CFR bill he signed had provisions which he felt were unconstitutional. You can put the rest together, I trust. I see, you post a bogus "proof" and then discard that and change the subject. Very weak debate.
