So, how long before this thread gets pulled?

And you are a sick puppy if you think that most Southrons are anything like the people you mentioned.
I suppose you don't like our OTHER famous Southrons:
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, etc?!
Why is it that you Yankee Types only see people as "NEO" if they disagree with your Communist, bayonet-forced, view of history?!

Short and sweet...And look how many denigrate his 1st Amendment right to free speech, and would supress it. Shades of Lincoln.

Okay: Show of hands. How many here on FR are "Yankees"? I am
If so, what do you think about the fact that folks like TexConfederate1861, Shuckmaster, Twodees and other "neo-Confederates" hate your guts, and think you are the epitome of evil?
It depends on whether they make an exception for copperheads like myslef.

Yes....I suppose anything that doesn't agree with the "Party" line must get pulled. Interesting......

Holding on to property that NO LONGER BELONGS to you, caused that problem.Ah, then I'm sure you can produce the bill of sale that transferred the land from the Federal Government to the Confederate States of America.
The land for Fort Sumter had been deeded over to the Federal Government by the State of South Carolina, with all claims extinguished, in 1836.

Well Bub.... This Southron has no intention of "retreating" anywhere... The last time I looked, there was STILL freedom to post one's opinion on this forum. It is a shame you hate Southrons like you do! Personally, I hate NO ONE!

Unfortunately you are right. Very sad. Our way of life is going the way of NY, NY; Pittsburgh; Boston. Look at the election in FL. Yes, your here. GOD help us.

I personally don't care WHERE he is from...I have always liked him..... And I don't HATE Yankees....I have at least 3 friends from the New York area.... I just believe in LIVE and LET LIVE.....

Gosh, I think very favorably of the Confederacy but I have to say that Ruffin seemed a bit over the top.
Secondly, Ronald Reagan was born in or near Dixon, Illinois, in 1911, attended local schools here in northern Illinois, attended and gradutaed Eureka College which I believe is in Illinois, went to work for WHO radio in Iowa broadcasting Chicago Cubs games from a ticker tape feed, and moved to California only when he neared thirty years of age. I have little doubt that most who prefer the Confederacy would prefer Reagan to the Arkansas Antichrist and I would bet that you would prefer Ronaldus Maximus as well.

My point: Bayonet Rule breeds hatred, contempt, and sews the seeds of future political action. The enslavement of millions of human beings certainly qualifies as "Bayonet Rule." Of course, the efficacy of "future political action" in such circumstances requires that both sides be rational.
But if one side is so wedded to its tyannical institution that it is willing to fight to the death to maintain and expand it; and if that side is so irrational as to defend the enslavement of millions on the grounds of "freedom and self-determination," then it is highly unlikely that the evil can be ended by merely political means.
