Joe,
Your example as to how to meet a serious life crisis head-on is an inspiration to us all. We hear these stories in anecdotal form in the media, but the import is fleeting as the participants are people we aren't aware of or involved with normally. Our shared fellowship with you on the forum, has allowed your inspirational example to be so much more real and meaningful to us all.
Many people would be hesitant to share their situation, events and, especially, the personal impact as frankly as you have. This trust and honesty leaves us feeling blessed and appreciated, and for that we thank you.
We hope you constantly are aware of the whole troop of distant friends behind your hopes and efforts pulling for your in our thoughts and prayers. When you get that PMS you describe, lean on us. We will be ready.

Hopefully, you won't have to return to Duke anytime soon, but, if you do, remember you have Freeper buddies in the area.
I'm sure some of us can come over to cheer you up or take the family out for some good Eastern NC BBQ.
Heck, I'd even let Maggie take a dip in our pond (I doubt the attack Schnauzers would mind).

I am so happy to hear the good report and about the good run. My prayers are still with you and your family ( that includes Maggie also). Remember that the Lord is always in control.

Joe, thanks for the report--what wonderful news! Nice try on the rotation of Hooters girls--I'd have pronounced you cured right then and there!
Each day is indeed a gift--thanks for the reminder. May God richly bless you and your household.

Very welcome report, Joe. Maggie is a beautiful puppydog. And you are a beautiful human being. Prayers for you and good thoughts continue.

Great news, Joe!
I wish I could report that my brother, Dan, were in your position. His brain tumor has become "too many to count" and his prior radiation treatment has made whole brain radiation out of the question, since he has developed necroptic tissue in his brain from it.
He is truly in God's Hand, now, so please add him to your prayers!

Good news, indeed, Joe! Sounds like it won't be too long before you will be able to rejoin us as we take the Left apart in and around WDC!

Good for you; I hope you get even better! :-)
To: MrConfettiMan
Glad you are doing much better. You were one of the first people I noticed as a lurker years ago. You are right about people thinking about what really matters.

Hi MCM, I have been thinking about you for the last several days and decided I better check your web site. Didn't take long to get updated. I'm so happy you are doing so well. Hope you get your med situation taken care of fast but you sound upbeat and healthy. Thank the Lord for that.
I just loved the pics of Maggie especially her apparent choice to sleep. She won't fit there for long. LOL I am still laughing at the pictures on your web site. There is nothing like a loving pet (ahh...especially a dog). I have a standard poodle and did you know that people who have allergies can usually handle poodles? Because of their hair not fur. However, my poodle, Bart, has terrible allergies himself...go figure. LOL But we control them with allergy meds and cortisone.
Just so happy to see you are doing well. The pix with Debbie and Maggie is sooooooooooo cute.
God Bless you and your family.
