This wasnt stupid, it was intentinal. Didnt you see the John Wayne movie: "The Searchers"? John Wayne shot buffalo to starver and exterminate the Commanche indians.

I say, these Kalifornia cops were intentionally trying to starve and exterminate republican ranchers by killing their cattle.

Q: "How can you shoot innocent baby cows like that?"

A: "Easy. You just don't lead 'em so much."

It would appear that the chippies didn't think to fetch some rope until county sheriff's deputies could locate a couple of farmers or ranchers (likely known to said deputies) to serve as volunteer cowpokes.

But then, Farmer Silva should be grateful that these knights of the freeway didn't decide to treat his his cattle like "Kings"....

C'mon, guys - give the CHP a break. They waited as long as they possibly could; right up until the "Fresh, Hot Donuts" sign was turned on.

At that point, they had to leave. It's in the manual.

Confirms my thought that only private citizens, not the police, should be allowed to own guns.

"They finally had to shoot them for safety reasons, he said, adding livestock that have wandered onto highways have caused fatal traffic accidents in the past." I don't want that on my tombstone .. Mad Cow Killers .. I wouldm hate to be the guy who gave the Fire order .. The team name would be good for CHP softball tournaments tho' .. Damn , What has this world come to :-?

Unless you get a close headshot, shooting heffers with a handgun is not exactly humane. Even large caliber handguns fire a relatively low velocity round. I am sure it wasn't a pretty sight and it took several rounds into each heffer to bring them down and it took about 10 minutes each to bleed to death. I would not want to be anywhere near those heffers if cops were firing head shots. That is one dense boned, angular head which is just as likely to redirect a round than to do much brain damage.

Just be thankful the cops got something to shoot at rather than we sheeple. They should be relatively safe for a few months now. Bovine imposed aggression therapy for LEO's. It might not be a bad idea. Better than smackin around the spouse or kids, curling up with Jim Beam, or strong arming a few local crack ho's into some free services.
