May this serve as the "official" VD/Westerfield Trial Thread, Day One.  Please post all updates and trial information here.  If size becomes obnoxious, we will start additional threads for later dates.

• Please exercise speed and accuracy, as there are many amongst us who do not have access to the trial live, thus, what we post is their "live feed"!!

• It has been a pleasure and a challenge investigating, researching and debating in the midst of a GAG order.  But let us hope one thing for sure occurs at the end of this trial, and that is that if David Westerfield is responsible for the murder of Danielle, may he pay the ultimate price for his evil deeds.

• But also, if, as some on this forum suspect, that Brenda and Peter Damon played any role in the death of this child, or any of their casual acquaintances, that the Jury of their peers will in fact discover and reveal their guilt.

Trial to start in missing girl's murder
Less than four months after 7-year-old Danielle van Dam vanished from her bedroom and was found on a rural California road, her neighbor, David Westerfield, will be tried for her kidnapping and murder. With jury selection finished last week, opening statements are slated for Tuesday and will be broadcast live on Court TV.

As I said recently, if this trial doesn't start tommorrow, we are all going to either be suspended or banned. LET's ROLL...we should all find it quite interesting. Look how much we have dug out of the wood work, in the midst of a full blown GAG order....fascinating....thanks to everyone for keeping the story alive, and bringing ALL of those involved to the court of public opinion, and the court of law for that matter. My money is still on "Viagra Boy", I forget if it's Keith or Rich, but he had one helluva motive...stoned, drunk and hangin' on viagra.

The same Brenda that shoved it in his face when she went up to hang out with Damon in his bed...boy, I bet he was frustrated.

Your right, but as you know, I think Feldman has "reasonable doubt" written all over this. If or when DW walks, this investigation will refocus on some of the people that had ACCESS, MOTIVE and (no good alibi, like witnesses)

That will be a little hard for them to do, don'cha think, since the van Dams are NOT on trial at this time.

I'd rather have the jury concentrating on the evidence of the defendant's guilt or innocence and making a deliberated, considered and just decision on the issue for which they were seated.
