poet, have you read the "Left Behind" series? This sounds very much like it, only the LB series ends on a happier note (I hope ... Book 10 is due to be released this summer! I can hardly wait!)
Really an exciting read!

Great imagination with too much time on his hands.

The new president moved her offices from the White House to the UN Building in New York. She vows to stay there until the United States regains it's voting power in the UN. So she stays in New York while the First Lady stays in Washington writing Executive Orders. Hmmmmmmmmmmm!

The only two people that know where I'm located at every moment of every day are the Good Lord and myself. And I'll be keeping it that wayI'll second that opinion.

Yeah, but the mark of the beast is going to be so KEWL, chic, avant-guard, hip, and, you know, just in case something happens, medical personell will have what they need to know to save your life...
Only religious nuts, who follow Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, would hesitate to accept something people really need! </sarcasm<

Yes I have. Also a very good read, but, the letter writer's reference to the "mark" (read bar code) and inability to engage in commerce without the mark is directly from Revelation is more telling of the future IMO. However, I disagree with the suicide aspect of the story. It would seem that with all their time in the mountains that they would have developed weapons to defend themselves, thus, "going home" with honor. Suicide is not honorable.
