They are call Boomers because of the high birth rates post WWII. That implies that the generation before the boomer were also narcissistic because they must have had a lower birth rate.""Implies"?
Keyword: Ignorance.
"The generation before the boomer" went thru the Great Depression and the Second World War both of which curtailed birthrates. That's hardly the stuff of narcissism. From the beginning of their lives the Boomers thought it was "all about me" and not the lifting of the effects of the Depression and the Second World War. Unfortunately, they still have yet to fully grasp or appreciate the effects of economic depression and world war and so they remain self-deluded and narcissistic to this day.
Imo they are and will always be the arrogant, self-absorbed brats they grew up and were socialized as. There's the Vietnam Vets, and then the Boomers. They aer worlds apart.
Prediction: Yes, people will be spitting on the Boomers before their days are done.

I guess you're right. Too bad we didn't have WWIII or another Great Depression to enlighten that loser Boomer generation (except for the vets, they are ok).

Yeah, well I guess that's why it's called ignorance. People who don't appreciate history are bound to repeat it. Or in this case, set-up the conditions for others to have to.

Look at this, the Baby Boom generation is responsible for leading this country on a slow decline. Thank You for informing me that both FDR and LBJ and the people who voted for them were Baby Boomers. Also the the people belonging to the "Greatest Generation" did not vote for Clinton in a greater percentage than the Baby Boomers,Or Did They?

I know the generation gap is disappearing when I see grandparents listening to Led Zeppelin and going to Aerosmith concerts. When I was growing up, my parents were horrified with rock music.

Sounds like a fun way to spend some time together
communicating. I'll bet there are a lot of laughs and good-natured teasing when one or the other can't get a correct answer! I'd be in big trouble because my daughter LOVES the music I listened to when I was her age. I like today's music as well, but I don't know the names of the bands very well.
We are both 41 with a 16 and a 17 year-old. The older one graduates from HS on Wed. Where did the time go?
Hope to take in a couple of concerts this summer that are of interest to all four. Luckily, we live in Wisconsin where there is one great music festival after another all summer long!

Maybe you just feel that you would not be a part of any group that would have a guy like you for a member and it has nothing to do with the other baby boomers.

One thing is clear, the Clinton-loving, narcissistic Baby Boomers are without question 'The Worst Generation'.We're on the same page. Thank Goodness that we have President Bush as our Commander in Chief.
Remember the Baby Boomers were responsible for taking part in the sexual revolution, and aborting an estimated 30 million babies, all who would be productive young adults today in our society.
It is easy to cast blame on immigration, but the problems go much deeper than that, it begins with the Baby Boomers. Perhaps if Baby Boomers had more kids,
then we would not be so dependent on immigration for cheap labor.

Do you have another candidate for this this distinction?
