After they killed her, they laid down their arms and turned themselves in.
As for where Khalistan is, it's centered around Punjab, in the northwest, just south of Kashmir and on the border with Pakistan. Khalistan would be an excellent buffer between India and Pakistan.
keri, it seems that for you, as for the Indian government the term "Khalistani terrorist" is a redundancy. You seem to think that anyone who advocates Khalistan by peaceful means is a "terrorist." As I hvae said previously, keri's working definition of "terrorist" is "someone who disagrees with keri."
It also tries to drum up political support for its "cause" in DC, and spreads false propaganda about India continually.
If you would bother to look beyond your little narrow prism, you would notice that all of the Council's information is well sourced. Usually the source is either the American or Indian media. Teh source for 250,000 Sikhs murdered is the Punjab State Magistracy, reported in The Politics of Genocide.
Nothing wrong with trying to line up political support, is there? India spends large sums of money on the same thing, using two expensive lobbying firms (at a combined cost, from what I have heard, of $1 million per year) while the Council of Khalistan is a small office that has to rely on individuals, mostly Sikhs, for support.
His CoK seeks support in DC to have India declared a terrorist state.
Because it practices cross-border terrorism adn domestic terrorism. Its record is clear. It has just been added to the U.S. watch list of countries that violate religious freedom. That is the first step.
The ultimate goal is the dismantling of India.
The breakup of India is inevitable. Multinational states like Austria-Hungary, the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia, to name a few, are doomed to fall apart. India is one of those. It has 18 official languages and 17 freedom movements within its artificial borders. Many experts think that neither India nor Pakistan will exist in their present form in 10 years. Even Advani has said that when Kashmir goes, India will fall apart.
I can see the Indian fear, though. It seems as if there are separatists in every region (not sure about that) and if every region got their "freedom," there wouldn't be much of India left.
Which would, of course, be followed by much dancing in Pakistan...
My guess is that India is doing something wrong if there are so many serious separatist movements within the country. Part of it, no doubt, is the fact that it's the result of British colonial rule over a bunch of formerly autonomous regions and the modern state of India is relatively young.
We see the same thing in Pakistan which isn't really completely unified today, either.
But India's democracy developed much more fully than what we've seen in Pakistan, and it seemed to be well on its way to becoming a First World country. Apparently, more autonomy needs to be given to these troublesome regions, or the benefits of remaining united with India would be obvious. Pure speculation on my part, though.
The facts are there to be found for those who don't know but want to know the truth, so go on and spread your vile crap from the CoK. It won't matter a whit to India or change its destiny a bit. It certainly won't change the truth.
"vile crap."
This si what happens when I try to make a logical, intelligent argument. It is unbecoming, keri. I understand that having these things pointed out makes you uncomfortable, but name-calling is the tactic of one who has no argument. Instead of trying to refute my argument, you try to shout me down and shut me up. I guess that is wht Indians call democracy.
Name calling is fine with me, if the shoe fits wear it. My last name for you is ignorant.Good-bye and good riddance.
Because you have no other argument.
You post lies.
I have asked you over and over again to prove it. You have not, because you can't. It's impossible to have a rational argument with you if you insist on just asserting that anyone who disagrees with you is a liar and a terrorist. But that is your position.
