The point hasn't been made on this thread so I'll make it. Don Imus is making news, and doing it by being clever, being prepared, and being shrewd. He managed to sucker punch both Rather and Lieberman within a few minutes of each other. Two icons of American liberalism. Here's a guy with a high school education, who goes around talking about how much smarter all his guests are than he is, and he is running mental laps around them before they even know what hit them. Imus has his own faults and character flaws to be sure, but as Imus would say, the I-Man is "getting it done".
