What boy? What moron? Are you talking about the President of the United States and a two-term governor of Texas. We, in Texas, are not in the habit of electing morons. If you are looking for superior intelligence - you had a Clinton. Did that intelligence do anything for the country?
I may not agree with Bush all the time, I may wish he would fight back against the democrats. However, - remember the election. While we were glued to the TV following each and every counter move of the Gore bunch - Bush was at his ranch delegating the handling of the election mess while he was working on his future government.
Maybe Bush is the one that knows how to set priorities, how to stay out of petty cat fights that don't get our business done and go about the business of running this government. Maybe there is nothing to be gained by allowing the Clintons to rule his administration with legal and TV battles daily. Maybe we are better off spending that time and energy going after the terrorists who are out to kill us.
Sorry but that is what is coming anyways and it best be directed at the real problem which is Clinton and not Bush which is the demorats plan.
And while we're at it, won't someone stuff a sock in Jimmy Carter's mouth. He is a disgrace and embarrassment to this country. He should just shut up and pound nails.
---------------------------
Well, you elected that drunken loudmothed goof Ann Richards. Texas was the home of Landslide Lyndon Johnson. Loyd Bentsen wasn't a gift to to world. Texas politics should be an embarrassment to Texans. As far as I'm concerned, if Texas politicians had never existed, the country would be better off.
Both the Clintons have a gift of gab and have politically correct sophistication to get them through the modern educational system, but show no particular creativity or intelligence.
If Jim and John fix the problem of not being able to bump old articles, I'll light this place up with Clinton corruption. And believe me, I can do it. There's no problem in weeding out old crime scandals, as there is never any justice, they are not held accountable, thus nearly all issues of criminality, especially regarding the Clinton regime, can be bumped, discussed as if nothing has happened, because nothing has happened, except, moving on.
I was going to mention that but you beat me to it.
Funny, I sure have. Guess the 80% approval rating meant nothing. I frankly liked the way he handled the Chinese, the tax cut, the war.
Oh, that should be remarkable intelligence - not intelligent. Now what was it you were saying?
------------------
Is that decree direct from God, or am I allowed to have doubts given the existence of opposing evidence? For the life of me I can't see why some of you insist on worshipping this man.
--------------
The 80% approval rating is a windfall of the 9/11 terrprisn and the response to it. The fact is, he lost the popular vote to the moronic Owl Gore.
Yes - but he has now served as president and we have come to love this man. He has instilled a deep trust in many of us. We just disagree.
I feel Bush is the leader for us during this time. You find much fault with him. Intelligence? Many of the great leaders were not brilliant - Truman, Reagan. There are characteristics sometimes more valuable than just intelligence. Traits such as moral clarity, a steely resolve, a personality well suited to dealing with opposing individuals, unity building, the ability to surround themselves with top quality people and experts, optimism and ability to overcome obstacles, patience and confidence.
---------------------
If you will read Reagan's autobiography and some of his writing, his vocabulary and use of words suggests he was a pretty intelligent man.
